Ladies and Gentlemen, Cavaliers fans everywhere, Matthew Dellavedova is in the building. Unfortunately the fan favorite guard will only be in the building and not on the bench as the trade awaits George Hill’s physical. Nonetheless, the Cavaliers will face off against the Washington Wizards. This is a winnable game if Cleveland can keep their legs through four straight quarters. Unfortunately, the Wizards are looking good the last three games and will be trying to get their fourth straight win tonight. I am feeling optimistic so I think the Cavaliers take this one 115-109. As always, go Cavs!

Missed the game once again, but I like Sexton’s statline. Another beast game for TT, looks like. Pretty happy for him after he looked done for a lot of last season. He’s never going to be super valuable in today’s NBA, but at least he’s getting the most out of what he has.
It hasn’t been that long, but I’m ready to say I like Burks better than Hood.
Yep. He isn’t as good a pure shooter, but does everything else better. Defense, handles, floor game.
For my money, Burks is a combo guard who can play small ball 3.
Hood is a 3 (not a 2). Too tall/slow of foot against most 2 guards. Too soft vs most real forwards, but you can get away with it nowdays more.
Doncic went on a personal 11-0 run to end the game in Dallas: Mavs 107-104 over Rockets.
We had 26 assists tonight. LNJ with 7, Sexton with 6, TT with 5 (TT!), Bandit with 4, Cedi & JC with 2 each. 12 dimes out of the PF/C spots. Bodes well for Love’s return.
Bandit had a decent game in the end, especially if you give him that 3 back. Still, 14/7/4 (should be 17/7/4) on 5-11 (6-12) and 3-6 (4-7) from deep.
In 5 December games… TT is averaging 15.6 points and 15.4 rebounds…
Has a player TT’s age ever won most improved? I know his skill set doesn’t jive with the new NBA, but damn hes beasting it right now.
In Milwaukee gonna be a tougher test on Monday.
TV says Sexton as a starter (15? games): 18.9/3.6/2.9 on 47% from the field and deep. I might be iff a tad on the decimals.
Yes, the assist game needs work. Yes, the D needs work. Yes finishing around the rim could be better. But that is pretty solid for a rookie PG. Maybe I am squinting, but I seexsome hope there.
He isn’t the worst player in the league, that is for damed sure.
If you would’ve put those numbers up at the beginning of the year and said that’s what Sexton would average, I think most of us on the blog would be pretty pleased.
Still has a long way to go but the most important thing is that so far, his motor is as advertise and he has shown he is coachable. He will continue to grow as a leader and basketball IQ wise.
Agreed! Sexton looks very immature physically, he’s 19 and looks every bit of it. He took three pointers tonight, used the backboard on finishes at the rim, he seems to be developing better court vision, his handle looks tighter… he’s growing as a player. Progress is all you can ask for and he’s doing that. He’s going to have bad games and make rookie mistakes, but to score 29 points in an NBA game, dish 6 assists you have something going on.

PTS and shooting not determine if a player plays well. Have to affect game in other ways. He said Sexton needs to get us into our stuff & get better on the ball defensively & in P&R defense.

Yeah that is pretty much the key for Sexton. Also I have wanted Sexton to pull the trigger on threes more. Glad he did this game.

Look…the wiz give maybe the least effort of any team in the league…so take this win with a gram of salt lol. But the new guys are upgrades. Jones can legit shoot and Blossomgame has maybe the best last name in basketball
Both guys are NBA athletes who seemed to understand their roles on offense, executed pretty well defensively, and Jones made some shots.
And we need us some combo forwards. Cedi is the only one on the roster who is even close.
Still, they had won 5 of their last 7, and were on two full days rest while Cavs were short-handed on a b2b…
How about JFJ’s line… 4-4, all from downtown for 12 points in 14 mins with three rebounds, a steal and a block for +18…

Oh, I agree… it was worse than some of the crazy tosses JR used to throw up for LBJ… but still, an improvement in volume of dimes for at least a half…

I’m on board for keeping TT through the end of the year. Keeps on maturing and I like his confidence/leadership for the young guys.
As bad as Cleveland was last night they were good tonight. I say this is a season defining game for wizards. They will blow up the team next week.
