Live Thread: Cavs @ Raptors (Welcome to Jurassic Park)
2018-12-21The Cleveland Cavaliers will venture into the Raptor cage for this Friday night match-up. While the Cavaliers have shown some fight throughout December, netting four wins, including one against the tough Pacers, the Raptors are a hold other beast. Though Toronto is coming off a brutal 12 game stretch, they still managed some big wins. The Raptors managed to take a chunk out of the Warriors, beating them twice in that same stretch of games. While Lowry and Ibaka are not expected to play in this one, that won’t stop the Great White North from taking a shot at the soft underbelly of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In an attempt to hold off the carnivorous contenders, the Cavaliers will rely on the new found point guard skills of Larry Nance Jr., the hopeful return of Matthew Dellavedova, and rookie point guard, Collin “Young Bull” Sexton. It will be interesting to see how the Raptors handle Nance and whether or not they opt to have Kawhi guard the big man. Should they do so, it will make for an interesting challenge for him. Leonard definitely has the length and strength to make things a lot more challenging for LNJ than he’s used to and he’s likely their best option considering Jonas Valanciunas is still out (not that he’d be a good option), and Serge Ibaka may not be playing either. I look forward to the possible match-up and hope the Cavs can keep this one interesting for as long as possible. Still I think the Raptors win this one handily, 116-101. As always, Go Cavs!
Recap is up.
In the East, Detroit seems most likely to make a move. But they likely want to deal Jackson & likely want a PG back.
Could be getting close to panic time/make a move time for some seekers of wing help. Out west, the top 3 look like locks (Denver, OKC, GSW) and the Lakers now sit at 19-13 despite some guys being absent. Spurs have won 5 of 6 by 25+ points and are up to 18-15. 3 spots open. Portland is 18-14. Clips 18-13 with their first to Boston if they miss the POs. No tanking there. Or in Sac (17-15, pick to Bos top 1 prot), Dallas (15-15, pick to ATL top 5 prot), or Mem (16-16, pick to Bos top 8… Read more »

” AND THE BEAT GOES ON……THE BEAT GOES ON” ……MAN CAVS CAN’T GET OR SHOULD SAY HAVE TOO MANY BREAKS !!!——–TIME TO GO SIGN ” ENCHILADA AND DANGER NINJA ” : )
Drew says Hood has a foot issue & Nwaba with a twisted ankle.
LNJ really benefiting from the playing time freed up with the TT injury. He might wind up being a major steel. Curious what he could do at point -center with Love on the floor.
Great tip, Larry…
Still fighting.
Leonard is a man amongst boys.
36 on 16 shots last I saw.
Sexton and his pullups. Ugh.
That little flurry will probably do it…Cavs play hard, though…
Sexton is so s****y.
Got a long way to go. Rookie PGs usually are.
