Podcap: Kings 117, Cavs 104 (or, The Winter Soldier)
2019-04-05The Cavs may have lost a meaningless game in April, but the real story of the night was that Nate and EG were able to defrost C:tB’s “Winter Soldier” for an appearance on this latest podcap. Yes, Tom Pestak returns from his deep, frozen slumber to catch up on all the goings on from this past winter of NBA action.
We pick up during the second half of this Cavs continued tank-a-thon, comment on the game, bounce around the NBA to forecast some potential summer moves, and break the news to Tom that Jimmer Fredette is in fact once again a member of the Association. Though we’ll have to wait for another day to hear TP’s rants about the Real Estate Mafia in Dayton… Nate and EG filled up the remaining time discussing who might or might not be suiting up in the wine & gold next season.

New article at the stepien on Jarrett Culver:

Good article… don’t agree with some of his arguments though… he’s not a better offensive player than Barrett IMO, though Culver’s likely a better defender, and thus a more well-rounded player.
Also, I think I’d take Hunter over Culver for Hunter’s shooting ability.

Fantastic article… he has those intangibles (competitive, work ethic) to go along with elite speed/athleticism. Didn’t like the pick at the time, but definitely grown to like the young man.
Haha EG did you just give a proper rebuttal to the draft % changes by saying the 76rs tanked for years and still screwed it up? Thats amazing
Man. Cory Brewer had his hands slip as he tried to do a pull up on the rim last night and this is how he ended up before hitting the floor in a nasty but mostly innocuous fall.

Ow.
There are folks who think we should keep TT around? Woof. We need to be ruthless in shredding guys who are just bad basketball players this summer. Find somewhere for TT and for Clarkson, get rid of Quiche, trade JR, and for gods sake get rid of the little person running the defense. You know…actually take defense and advanced stats into account. Take Nwaba’s option, probably fill a Roster spot with Sauce for continuity, and hope Henson and Love can play for long stretches. Then fill in with either bad money that earns picks or 1 year players if possible.… Read more »
As much as I’d love Channing Frye in the booth, there’s no way he doesn’t want to live out in Oregon where his home is.
I had long hair for a year in college – could have made your photoshop job easier lol
Was it as flowing and beautiful as the Winter Soldier’s?
Big shout out to Nate for his superior photoshop skills! Always wondered what Pestak would look like with long hair… and a metal arm…
Superb skills. Somewhat makes up for him moonlighting on OTHER CAVS BLOGS.
Huh?
That’s right Nate – there ARE no other Cavs blogs…. ;)
Tom isn’t moonlighting… Unless it’s on a home improvement blog.
I think he’s referencing the part in the blog where you talk about Tristan’s future.
Had to skip last night. No Love. A loss is a win.
Barring winning at GSW tonight, the Cavs will be no worse than 3rd heading into the lotto drawing.
Suns have shut Booker down, fearing another W would catch the Cavs.
Keep: Love, LNJ, Sexton, Cedi, Nwaba, Delly, Zizic.
Keep (at least to start): TT, Clarkson, Knight, Henson.
Plus: 2 first round picks
Bye: JR, Chriss, Frye
????: Stauskas
If we trade JR, we’ll likely take a player back.
I’m all in for more Unfrozen Caveman Blogger.
Just thinking about Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer makes me chuckle. Classic.
