Tonight is the final game of 2020-21 season for the Cleveland Cavaliers. They will be taking on the presumably full-strength Brooklyn Nets, who are trying to clinch the second seed over the Milwaukee Bucks. Evan Dammarell reported that Darius Garland and Kevin Love will be out for the game.

we still need the garbage-barge playoffs.. cav-nots (and other orgs tainted with the loser stench) shouldn’t be allowed to skulk away and wait for the “miracle at the bingo table”.. they should be putting their talents (or lack thereof) on display in the “loser” games.. winner gets the #1.. worst gets the worst.. let karma work..
I like the general concept, the only reservation I have is that a team that truly cannot play will still end up last and not receive decent talent influx.
Here’s where a 2-league system with relegation rules works extremely well. The threat of relegation ensures optimal club motivation.
Now, where could we find another league ready-made to particpate in this process…?

Somehow this shortened season is over even though it seemed to take forever, and that’s due to the team sucking most of the time and being unwatchable. Altman should be on one year rental, fix this team from top to bottom, coaching needs to change somewhere and have to bring in vets who give a crap and don’t sulk over playing time or what type of play they get on the floor. Man, just going through Cavs players season summaries and I completely forgot Larry Nance Jr was on this team.
LMFAOOOOO i know he’s been out so much, kind of concerned about his ability to stay healthy really, not faulting him at all, just is what it is.
truly a different team with him on the floor — was just watching the Cavs double-barrelled wins against the Nets in January and was astounded by LNJ’s impact on the floor, really makes Cleveland look a lot more like a bona fide NBA franchise anyway
Possibly big changes coming. Have we seen the last of Love & Delly? Do we max Sexton? Allen & Hart are FAs. LNJ too fragile to start/depend on. Could see Cedi/Prince being used as filler in a Love deal (if anyone wants him).
Drafting: best case is tied for 4th with OKC if they beat LAC (both tanking) and Minny beats Dallas.

yup…. don’t think Love’s gone, nor should we move him IMO… but Delly’s definitely done as a player I’d think.
Hart/Allen/Sexton/Draft will definitely set the table up… going to be huge decisions.
Delly is done, I say this mainly because his social media posts have been promotoing Bitcoin heavily since early April.

was watching an opposing team’s TV feed (maybe it was Nets announcers on a replay feed), they said Dotson was ‘a 3 and D guy’ and I was like, ‘what’?
Hard to say about some of these guys, if they are going to be rotation guys or just fringe, I believe Wade for sure. Thomas maybe and Stevens of course have shots to be rotation level players
yeah, odds are always stacked against them but he’s got a jumper and is willing to rebound and play defense, so I’m rooting for him… could be Dotson’s replacement perhaps?

Windler was doing resistance band work pre-game, good to hear he should be OK.
he was looking really hyped and jumpy on the bench during the win over the Celtics, does not appear to be a gloomy guy by nature, hope he is able to get some good work in over the summer. Still crazy to think that even if that all goes well he is still going to essentially be a rookie next year, he managed to get into 31 games this year and score a grand total of 161 points
