Good evening CtB!

The famed Boston Celtics travel to the shores of Lake Erie to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in an important early season Eastern Conference tilt. The Cavs currently occupy a top four seed in the Eastern Conference, and beating Boston surely would make their lives more difficult as they struggle to remain a play-in team. The Cavs can expect a hungry and desperate Boston team off the heels of a momentum building win against the reigning NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks last night.

For the Celtics, the key to stopping their offense this season will be containing Jaylen Brown, and preventing Jayson Tatum from finding his rhythm after a rough start to the season. As for Boston’s defense, Marcus Smart and Dennis Schröder are very good perimeter defenders, so Darius Garland and Ricky Rubio will have their hands full trying to break them down and get into the paint.

This is a game where the Cavs can embrace their underdog status (+1.5 home dogs at time of writing) and really establish themselves as a bonafide playoff contender, while simultaneously keeping Boston in the mud and potentially in a world of hurt if they can’t get it figured out soon with new GM “President” Brad Stevens (h/t to Evil Genius!) and new head coach Ime Udoka.

Tip off is scheduled for around 8:00pm ET, and the game will be broadcasted on national television station NBATV, as well as Bally Sports Ohio/Great Lakes. GO CAVS!

P.S. Injury note
