The Indiana Pacers visit the shores of Lake Erie for their second game of their four game series. It is believed that Indiana is beginning a full tear-down of the roster, so their guys will be looking to audition and make a good impression to those watching from across the NBA. For the Cavs, they’ll be looking to stack another win to remain in the hunt for the Eastern Conference’s top seed. The urgency may even be heightened post-trade, as the arrival of Caris LeVert means that the Cavs are committed to making a playoff push. The Cavs’ young core appear to be on a collision course with their first taste of NBA playoff basketball, the excitement is palpable.
As for the game at hand, it will be dictated by the Cavs’ defense. Hopefully Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley look to dominate the paint and carry the Cavs while Darius Garland continues to mend a sore back.
Tip off is scheduled for 6:00PM ET and will be broadcasted on Bally Sports Ohio/Great Lakes, Go Cavs!!!
i still like the idea of sending sexton to the spurs for lonnie walker and tre jones.. spurs are still loaded at the guard position with murray, white, vassell and primo.. walker is a decent mid-level talent who seems to have acheived his ceiling, but it is a decent ceiling for a 2nd team contributor.. he is 6’4″, and still fairly young.. and the youngster jones is a dukie (so well schooled) and has some respectable backup pg skills.. his available videos impressed me.. adding these brothers gives the cavs immense depth and injury insurance..

perhaps a year ahead of schedule.. but would be a hell of a trip, and only the first of many.. CLE v MEM will be a great series..
Cavs Grizz is dream scenario in my mind. Would root for a tie. Would be start of a new era of basketball, post Lebrun and KD and Co.

ESPN (Pelton): Cavs C, Pacers A
I usually think Pelton is an idiot. But I kind of agree with him on this one.
Though he does at least to say he also gave the Cavs a C for getting Allen in the Harden deal (Rockets A-, Pacers B+, Nets D).
Most other outlets give us higher grades.
CBS Sports: Cavs A; Pacers B
and, according to pelton, what was the “A” rated thing to do by the cavs.. it takes 2 to tango.. these fuckers have about the same credibility as the stock shills on tout TV

He gave the Cavs a ‘C’ for the JA deal because “now the Cavs will need to pay him”, essentially. One of his dumber takes. Yeah, sign me up for paying players who are actually, you know, good.
I’d give the Cavs s ‘B’ for the Levert trade. Giving up that Houston 2nd in addition to the 1st isn’t ideal. With Levert, so much of it is whether he can stay on the court.
But Altman owed this team some help, so worth the gamble.
that Houston 2nd was the only thing salvaged from the KPJ incident if I am not mistaken, glad Koby did not come of that fiasco completely empty-handed anyway

According to ESPN Lavert is a top 10 scorer on drives to the bucket, the Cavs rank 29th as a team. I think this guy can help us. Now we got the two best players from what was a really promising nets team before they cleared house for the three douche bag amigos.
