Live Thread: Celtics @ Cavs

The Cavs welcome the Boston Celtics to the shores of Lake Erie for part deux of their home and home series over the last week. This stakes are already high even this early in the season because the good teams don’t take nights off, and both squads are sitting top three in the conference at the time of this writing. Revenge will surely be on Boston’s mind, while the Cavs are welcoming back Darius Garland and Dylan Windler back into the fold. This is a game where the Cavs and the home crowd need to bring the playoff intensity.
There are two things the Cavs did well last game that they will need to replicate: rebounding and isolation playmaking from Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Caris LeVert. Boston’s lack of size needs to be taken advantage of, even though Grant Williams will be back from his one game suspension. Boston’s switch everything defense will force the guards to hunt mismatches and break their defenders down off the dribble. It will be fascinating to see what adjustments both teams make with the quick turnaround and fresh memories.

definite chance KI has played his last game. in any event, he his more trouble than he is worth. the owner should realize there is little chance of recouping the investment. it would look a lot better to pay him off and tell him to clean out his locker by 4:00.

I find everything fascinating right now. The dubs lose to very tall sticks from orlando cuz they employ Draymond Green as their center and have very little useful length. the lakers are clinging to a benched Colts qb to save their season, and they employ zero other shooters. The nets are full of weak minded but talented divas they chose to employ to try to win, and have chosen to suspend one of them for his thoughts even though he is paid to play basketball and not for his thoughts…. My guess is that Steph is the only one likely to get back to the finals. KD is still great, and LeBron good, but they have gotten themselves locked into to a pile of crap.

Guy could have been a hall of famer. Complete garbage person, although I continue to think he has some mental disorder. More and more he shows signs of psychosis. He borders on incoherence.
