Live Thread: Cavs @ Bulls
2022-12-31Good evening and Happy New Year CtB!
The Cavs have traversed up Interstate 65 to the shores of Lake Michigan to take on the struggling and desperate Chicago Bulls. The Bulls have started off the season extremely slow, and have been completely devastated by the loss of Lonzo Ball due to injury. But DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine are capable of beating any team on any night, so the Cavs will have to bring their A game if they want a solid road win before 2022 is over.
In order to get that win, the Cavs will have to overcome the losses of Darius Garland and Evan Mobley due to injury. Rise up Diakite and Isaiah Mobley supporters, their time is now! Caris LeVert and Kevin Love will be starting in their place.
Tip off is scheduled for 7:00PM Eastern time and will be broadcasted live on Bally Sports Ohio, Go Cavs!

So almost all the mojo has left the Land. They got cocky about 10 games in and never really recovered the hunger. The difference between the Cavs at the moment and the Mavs at the moment is almost nothing except last year’s playoff wins. Same under achieving…but Mavs have some success to back up their expectations. The Cavs fizzled last year super hard (injuries notwithstanding), and looked completely unprepared for the play in games. I don’t expect the Cavs to get further than one round. agree, just hold pat. honestly, Cavs don’t really have anything to trade UNLESS they move Love (who is still a productive, if limited player) for long-term salary. But, then they’d have a giant hole in their bench bigs.
i say just start Ice from now on (until Wade returns) and then roll with the bench mob of Rubio/Caris/Cedi/Love
Agree with all of this… to trade Love at this point would have only negative effects on this team. His leadership and offensive/rebounding acumen should not be underestimated.
