Live Thread: Cavs vs Pistons
2023-03-04The Cavs look to make up for a frustrating loss to the Celtics where they looked outclassed (despite the misleading final score). They take on the moribund Detroit Pistons who are missing most of their good players. Isaiah Stewart, Alec Burks, Jalen Duren, and Bojan Bogdanovich are all out for the Pistons, while the Cavs have no one in the injury report. If they were smart, they’d give Spida Mitchell the night off to protect his oft injured groin, but the Cavs aren’t. Donovan will play on his bobble head night.
Cleveland hasn’t beaten a good, healthy team in 2023, and that won’t change tonight. The Pistons are bad even when healthy.
I’d love to see if Danny Green and Sam Merrill can give the Cavs anything or if the Cavs can find an effective third big, but I’d be happy to see them just avoid laying an egg and get back to a sane and sustainable rotation. We’ll see if that happens.

so lame for an otherwise pretty classy guy.
remember a Cav, Ricky someone, who was kind of a mini star the year before LeBron, who did that on the other end to get maybe a triple double, and the league ruled it did not count? They should do that here.

Need to punish the Celtics on the boards tomorrow. There’s no reason we should lose tomorrow, with Tatum/Brown/Horford all playing over 45 minutes tonight.
Hopefully Horford don’t punish JA again with making those 3’s..

Celtics disappointing me.. wanted them to win tonight and loose tomorrow.. now we’ll probably be only 1 game up on Knicks and if we loose.. only 0.5 games up by tomorrow night.
