The Cavs have traversed to the banks of the East River to take on the Brooklyn Nets in yet another nationally televised primetime showcase. The Nets are hanging on for dear life of the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, and the Cavs are trying to wrap up the fourth seed and secure home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. The stakes are high and the Cavs welcome back Jarrett Allen from his eye injury:

Who are the Brooklyn Nets post-KD trade? Not very good, especially on offense. They are ranked 28th in the NBA in offensive rating post-All Star break. Their defense has also taken a hit as well, now a middling defense. They are also ranked 30th in the NBA in defensive and offensive rebound rate. Simply put, they stink. Much like the Heat series, a split at the minimum should be expected, and frankly any loss against this squad should be considered a bad loss. The great teams take care of business, we’ll find out about how great the Cavs are as we come down the stretch.
Tip off is scheduled for 7:30PM Eastern time and will be broadcasted live regionally on Bally Sports Ohio/Great Lakes, and nationally on NBATV, GO CAVS!

Why are we rooting for the Heat when we’re going to end up playing them instead of the Knicks?

I think the Heat is battle tested . They are two years removed from the Finals and a jimmy 3 pointer away from the finals last year as well..

Heat is probably going to take the Nets spot in the 6th seed. Both are tied in the standings.
And the Heat and Nets play each other in Miami on Sunday.

Cool to see the Kings back in the playoffs. I don’t care about any team’s ownership, but the Kings have some great hardcore fans, and it’s a travesty it’s been this long. Will be amazing if they play the Lakers. I know who I’d root for.
remember when the Cavs owned a Kings first round draft pick, lottery protected. after six or eight years they still hadn’t made the playoffs, and the Cavs traded it to the Bulls. After ten years total, it converted into two seconds, which weren’t bad considering they were from the Kings.

Houston won against Celtics, Lakers and Pelicans too.. so as we saw when we played horribly against the B-team of GSW at home… anytime can win on any given night.
I’ve watched Orlando beat the Clips on the road and played close games against the Lakers and Suns lately.. they aren’t an easy out. They’ve beaten Philly on the road, Denver and MIA at home.
After being up 108-86 with 7:17 left (Cavs 14 vs Nets 8) in the first almost 5 minutes of the 4th.. Nets outscored us 23-7 the rest of the way with all our points coming from the free throw line (5 pts coming in the last minute).. just horrible last 7 minutes of the game..
When Carris and Cedi are hitting 3s, Cavs are super tough.
