The G-League Cavs will be taking on the G-League Orlando Magic for their second game of the two game road series before wrapping up the 2022-23 regular season back home against the Charlotte Hornets. With nothing left to play for, the Cavs are smartly load managing their playoff rotation to ensure they go into the playoff as rested and healthy as possible. Also this allows some end of bench guy to tune up for the playoffs, since inevitably some of these guys will see time in the playoffs as coaches get desperate and try to press the right buttons as the pressure ramps up. So look for guys like Cedi Osman, Dean Wade, Raul Neto, Ricky Rubio, and Lamar Stevens to get extended minutes to prepare themselves for the postseason.
Tip off is scheduled for 7:00PM Eastern time and will be broadcasted live on Bally Sports Ohio/Great Lakes, Go Cavs!

FWIW…we will end the season 2nd in differential and likely in the top 5 in most categories except for “games you should have won that your coach managed to throw in the garbage for no apparent reason” We are maybe in the top 8 realistically. We have had better continuity than anyone except Boston and memphis this year. When we win, we destroy but when we lose we either got destroyed or we usually squandered a sure win by going 6 mins without scoring in the second half twice. I don’t disagree with your assessment of the Cavs’ season. However, I would interpret the outcome of the playoffs in a different way. I think that coaching really matters in the playoffs (adjustments). This will be JB’s first playoffs, up against Thibs, who has playoff experience. So, already I’m grading on a curve. But I’m curious to see how well he does.
I’m with you on the squandering of leads, but I’m left scratching my head as to why it happened.

I dunno; not sure what I’m supposed to glean from 36 seconds of a guy taking corner 3’s. I mean his shot isn’t pure like Mitchell’s, but it never will be.
To me, he’s moving gingerly and missing too many shots… from what I’ve been told, the make percentage of practice shots by NBA players for good shooters is 70%-80%.
when has he not? His willingness to shoot with confidence doesn’t mean he’s gonna all of sudden look like Korver. I can think of several guys with garbage form who can somehow make it work. The question is can he defend? Cuz if not he needs to sit and watch Green and Stevens and Wade and Cedi take all of his mins. He ain’t an mvp for his shooting.

A win on Sunday will be give 22 games over .500, same as the Guardians last season.
I am concerned about Okoro and his knee. He also hasn’t played in a minute, and seems like a rhythm player, which could prove to be problematic in the playoffs.
Welp! Totally forgot it was scrub night for both teams. But we had fun anyways. Kids were having a blast with the Herculoids 2.0 winning by 20+. Kinda surprised the Magic wouldn’t play the starters at least 5 minutes on fan appreciation night. Banchero said some words before the start but that’s all they got.
Glad you got to see a good show from the Cavs at least! It was fun to watch them bomb away from 3 on TV! Hope the Kids had a great time!

Chuckling at the games out west with teams resting all their guys or tanking hard playing other teams desperate for a win.
Guessing no changes in the standings as all the teams on the bubble win their last games.
Interesting that Orlando gave all their starters the night off too. I guess the tank battle with Washington and Portland is real.
Our G Leaguers are good and it’s great to see them play well together. Danny Green is there in case the glass must be broken.
Loved the interview with Isaiah Mobley afterwards. What a fun, nice young man. Won’t be a star, but maybe could find himself an NBA career in time, who knows…

They play terrific team basketball, crazy chemistry for guys that don’t play all that often together except the G-League guys.
