The Cavs are in the City of Dreams to take on the red hot and LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers. The playoffs have already begun, but apparently the Cavs haven’t received the memo yet. Today’s a golden opportunity to get a great road win against a desperate team. Let’s see how it plays out… Go Cavs!

Broadly though to make that choice you’d have to be comfortable that one of them could go 82 games in basically a Jalen Brunson role because there aren’t any other average lead ball handlers on the roster. I’m not sure that’s worked well for either Spida or DG in past

If I had to guess they’d be ahead of the Bulls.
People’s guesses will only serve to confirm their priors. We don’t play any individual player a ton but Vert has a ton of minutes for a sixth man bc he’s a spot starter so…I’d guess within a few minutes of the Knicks who have the same issues with Hart and DDV as sixth men with starters minutes
Awesome…does every JB team have a major injury to a guard or doesnt it? Find me the exception to his folly. I look forward to it.
Also find me the pressure game JB has coached where he didnt get embarrassed by his opponent. There might be two that I can think of…otherwise we get starched every time.
Here’s the answer: the Cavs–Mitchell, Garland, Strus, Allen, Mobley, LeVert, in that order–are in the seventh spot barely behind the celtics and heat, and ever-so-slightly ahead of the sixers and lakers. [Note: these stats do not include Saturday’s games.]

Guards being 7 and 2 hardly sucks.
Cavs’ regular season record the last two years without Garland (via Statmuse): 28-9, .757 winning %. With Garland, including today, 69-54, .561.
Garland not the problem today find a new slant
Big picture, not a reaction to this game. I wouldn’t say he played “great.” Jarrett and Caris did some good things. The defense seems like the most pressing issue now, pretty much since the ASB.
Not having our two best POA defenders matters but we won’t have to defend anyone the caliber of the last weeks opponents in the first round

Cavs need someone to be half as good an outlet passer as Love was, or rein them in a bit – must have had 5 TO just on those.
Here’s ten hours of the law and order. That’s what that game and deserve.
Jesus. The Cavs just giving up turnover fueled runs, and then the Lakers slow down the game and don’t let the Cavs gain any ground.
Really liked the effort-turnovers are still a lot but a pretty decent game from DG and good energy.
AD murdered our offense
Moral of story: you can’t give up 17-0 runs and expect to win.
Why does DG always attempt to drive in traffic.. he doesn’t get calls.. just pass the damn ball when its a 3 on 1, and you miss and they score on the other end.
Love how every semi decent team seems able to raise their level when they need to this time of year and Jb’s teams consistently fade into irrelevance after he grinds them to bones and dust

How are the Cavs in this?
Cavs shooting 48% overal but Lakers are shooting almost 60% and 9-15 (60%) from 3, all of the Cavs turnovers are from 7 steals from the Lakers.
