Well DG appears to be alert
Magic 2.5 favorites tonight

Not great, Bob.
One of my all-time favorite line deliveries.
Still no offensive firepower. Need to figure out how we can get in the top 10 offense next year.
Although to be fair, Orlando had the #1 defense in the regular season.
been a fun night so far
AGREE ARCH ——- JUST HOPE JB IS READY/ ABLE TO MAKE THE CORRECT ADJUSTMENTS 👍👍
I WILL TAKE. 23/24 / 3s ANY NIGHT 🤪?🤪?
Reggie continues to be the most annoying sportscaster.
100%
his voice alone annoys me.
God, I hate the Tacoma city plunder.
Plus 1
LOL!!
SPOESTRA ‘s GAME PLAN TOOK “THE UNICORN “ BACK TO THE STABLE——— MAN ONLY IF JB COULD PLAN / SCHEME LIKE HIM-/—-WILL SEE TOMORROW NIGHT
JB hasn’t really had to make any adjustments. The other team can’t shoot so just pack the paint and dare them to launch threes.
It helps when you make 23/24 3’s..
I feel like the gap between first and and eighth seeds is so much closer than it’s ever been.
certainly is this year. may or may not be a trend.
Heat had a pretty dominant win except for the Kevin Love stretch in the first half. He sat in the second. A 7-game series would be awesome.
They should trade him to Cleveland for cash.
Is there anything as good as watching Celtics fans living their own stadium early?
I have a coaching crush on Eric Spoelstra.
I’m not surprised.
They remind me of the 2008-2009 Cavs who had 66 wins in the regular season, but fizzled in the post season.
Celtics still haven’t achieved anything. There’s always something.
I’ll qualify this by saying I don’t watch a ton of Celtics games, so take this with the grain of salt, but Tatum is a bit overrated.
can’t think of what it would be. maybe Yankee’s fans booing the Yanks?
NEVER COUNT OUT A SPOESTRA COACHED TEAM
Miami raining 3s in Boston. They’ve got 21 3s.
I think we’re going to have to count out Wade for the playoffs, unless we’re still playing a month from now. Usually, you here about how guys are doing drills, blah blah…nothing unitl this announcement saying hes out for the series since the injury. Stinks- that Celtics game was amazing and think these playoffs would have been a great developmental/showcase situation. Regarding the Cavs offensive output, curious how the adjustments go. I think having the early game focus in JA and Mitchell should be the focus since it leads to so much more for everyone. DG has been benefiting/taking advantage… Read more »
Yeah, Wade was shooting after practice today. It must not have gone well.
😩
Boston looks frustrated. I guess they don’t know how to handle close games.
NOT SURPRISED/WADE —STILL A BUMMER— SPOESTRA “ KING OF MAKING ADJUSTMENTS “ —-MAN IF THEY CAN STEAL THIS GAME— COULD BE AN INTERESTING SERIES
Miami up by 10 in the 3rd quarter.
Go Heat! Make this a 7-game series.
Dean Wade ruled out for the remainder of the first round.
REASON I POSTED MORRIS GETTING SOME OF NIANGs MINUTEs —-STRUS DOES SO MUCH MORE THAN SCORE—— HIS PRESENCE ON THE FLOOR ARE INVALUABLE
Here’s the dirty little secret about the Cavs in this series: They really aren’t playing all that well despite being up 2-0. They’re turning the ball over far too much — their 16.5 turnovers per game thus far was the worst mark of any team in the postseason entering Tuesday’s games — and they aren’t shooting it much better than Orlando. Yet they’re in complete command of the series. —- Jason Lloyd
Garland is one of the few shooting the ball well. The Magic often go under on screens and Garland is stepping into his shots with ease. Mitchell shot 2-for-10 from 3 in Game 2 and is shooting 28 percent from 3 for the series.
Strus and Niang, two key offseason additions, have struggled badly. Strus is 2-for-10 in the series from 3 and Niang is 0-for-8. Since the Cavs have a comfortable series lead, Niang was able to make fun of himself about it in the locker room after Game 2. “Bang, bang, can’t hit a thang,” he hollered to a pack of reporters. “Whoever’s got the answer, let me know.”
I’m a little bit surprised at how to this point, Orlando still isn’t really using Jalen Suggs as the primary defender on Mitchell. Mosley hinted after Game 2 he doesn’t want Suggs fighting through screens on pick and rolls and dealing with the contact Mitchell generates, but as Mosley has lamented the Cavs’ fast starts in each of these first two games, Mitchell is the biggest reason for that and the Magic do not have their best defender on him.
Mitchell is shooting 70 percent and averaging 12 points in the first quarters of this series. The way the Magic more aggressively blitzed the Cavs’ ballhandlers on pick-and-rolls in the fourth quarter of Game 2 might be indicative of the tweaks Mosley and the Magic make entering Game 3.
I read that.Interesting article.
Luka with the dagger!
Maybe…
Why the foul, Kyrie, why?
Damn that was so close to a turnover!!!!
Yeah, he was definitely caught in the air.
One day, Luka’s mouth is going to cost his ballclub dearly.
Watching the Mavs backcourt in action is occasionally really something. Offensively, of course.
The Bucks are gonna have to bring Giannis back.
Finally got to watch the whole game. Some big shots by DG in the 4th. Second game in a row that he’s had some excellent 4th quarter contributions.
Next game is going to be tough with Orlando likely making shots from outside that they’ve been missing. Cavs probably not going to get many calls either. If Cavs can start hitting from 3 they can win, though. Niang needs to step it up.
I don’t know that Orlando will suddenly start making outside shots. They don’t really have the personnel. I think they can probably make more than they have but they’re not really a threat from 3.
Good point. In terms of scenarios, probably the most likely is the Magic forcing the ball inside and getting a lot of foul calls.
Cavs just need to weather the runs and hang tough. Hitting a few more 3s would really help, though.
Compared to last years Cavs, the Magic are a bit deeper, yet still full of terrible shooters. Orlando is shooting less than 24 percent from 3-point range through two games in this series. Although I think they’ll probably increase that percentage in front of the home crowd, but not enough to be a serious threat.
YEAH PROBABLY RIGHT ARCH———- GUESS THE FOUL TROUBLE WITH FG / SPIDA HAD ME CONCERNS ME
WHAT IS CPJs INJURY STATUS AND “ NATEs FAVORITE LATE SCRATCH “ JEROME
I doubt either of them would play, even if healthy.
SHOULD JB POSSIBLY GIVE SOME OF NIANGs MINUTES TO MORRIS —— EVEN WHEN STRUS ISNT SCORING HE DOES SO MANY OTHER THINGS TO HELP THE TEAM 👍👍
maybe some of DG’s minutes, to present a much tougher look.
Yes to you and Raoul
MAKE OUR FOUL SHOTS——CURTAIL OUR TOS ——- LIMIT CARELESS FOULS DG/ SPIDA ——- BE READY / ATTACK MAGIC s GAURD TRAPPING—— 3RD GAME IS IMPORTANT/DO NOT GIVE THIS MAGIC TEAM ANY CONFIDENCE—-PUT THEM AWAY 👍👍🏀🏀💪🦾
WATCHING REPLAY RIGHT NOW——-LESS STRESS—-PUTTING MY MONEY ON THE CAVS 👍🤪—- DID SUGGS COME BACK AND PLAY— INJURY LOOKED BAD
He did come back. Said it was painful after the game.
WATCHING REPLAY RIGHT NOW——-LESS STRESS—-PUTTING MY MONEY ON THE CAVS 👍🤪
Going into this year, I thought the Cavs just would need to have DG and Mobley improve to be near All Stars and that would get them into contention with 3 stars and a solid cast. That didn’t happen. Mobley has improved, but DG got hurt or whatever and is still kind of stuck where he has been, which is super at times when his shot is falling and iffy when he’s getting blitzed. But what DID happen is that Jarrett Allen has improved so much that now HE is the borderline 3rd all star that you need in the… Read more »
I think JA has been one of the top two players on the Cavs since they got him. I have always been astounded at the lack of appreciation for JA.
Remember, just last summer, when half of CtB, and all the other Cavs media, were trying to trade Jarrett for random stiffs? I was responding with “what are you smoking?”.
And recall all the moaning, right here on CtB, when Kobe signed JA to a four year extension at a bargan basement price? Precious few of us were in favor.
Not me. I’ve always appreciated JA. Although I was disappointed in him last playoff season.
me too. last year only DG was ready. this year we have a few.
wow! two buzzer beater games, and the home teams are still undefeated!
Cavs-Magic coverage next on TNT.
Post game coverage
did they say anything interesting?
Not really. Just emphasized the Magic’s inexperience as they play like it’s a regular season game.
thnx
Valiant effort by Lebron. I’m sure he’s devastated. That was their shot.
