Preseason Live Thread: Pacers @ Cavs

The Cavs welcome Central Division rival Indiana Pacers to the shores of Lake Erie for a friendly little preseason battle between two teams trying to achieve that championship caliber legitimacy. Against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night, the Cavs starting five looked amazing, while the backups were all varying levels of bad outside of veteran Caris LeVert. Hopefully there’s a bounce back performance by the second and third units while the starters maintain their mojo even without Max Strus, who’s a game time decision.
Tip off is scheduled for 7:00PM Eastern time and will be broadcasted live on Bally Sports Ohio, Go Cavs!

Vogt eschewing vets to put rookies in brutal situations is killing me.
I think it was the right move — it avoided burning the bullpen on a longshot chance of winning. and you have to use the rookies for their first time sooner or later, might as well get it out of the way.

May now be the best trade deadline bat pickup in Cle baseball history, though it didn’t seem like it in August. Drove in half the team’s runs in this series!
thomas was 12-81 in august (including 1 game in july) which was sad, but 24-91 in september (0.264 BA with 7 HR and 20 RBI).. so the trend is your friend, and he came up big in this series.. if he can stick around the the 0.250 area he will really be earning his paycheck, and it will have been a great trade.. as it is, with tribe going to ALCS.. i give a big thumbs up..
