Live Thread: Cavs @ Bucks
2024-11-02Happy Saturday, Cavs fans! Your 6-0 Cavaliers continue their road show in Milwaukee tonight, on the back half of a b2b against the struggling Bucks. Milwaukee has started the season 1-4 and have only held one team under 115 points in that stretch, when they won their opener 125-109 over the similarly struggling Sixers. Milwaukee surely considers this a barometer, with Cleveland resting some folks, and the Bucks trying to get back to the winning ways of previous seasons.
I’m drunk on Hatorade with our predictions of the Haslams being a wrecking ball for the Bucks while Cleveland has started out as the hottest team in the association and looks incredibly deep, especially at the guard spots. Cleveland will be without one of their early season stars, as they’ve given Caris LeVert the night off to rest his knee. Jaylon Tyson is also out with a hip injury, while Max Strus remains sidelined with an ankle injury. For the Bucks, Khris Middleton remains out so far this year.
We’ll see if Cleveland can keep up its winning ways. I was especially impressed with the way the Cavs absorbed the runs from Orlando last night, but never let the lead dip below three possessions – holding serve when they needed to. They’ll have to do more of the same tonight, as I’m sure Giannis and Co. are hungry for a win. Go Cavs!
jameis with a 34.7 qb rating ?? you can’t make this shit up.. frowns down 20-3 with 8 m left in 4th.. go cavs.. 7-0. doing their coke imitation.. “it’s the real thing”
yo, you are missing the Cavs season !!! and they are doing pretty good.
read my post bro. .”it’s the real thing”.. uncle buck is on board.. cavs smokin’ ..everything copasetic.. NEXT !!
wouldn’t be good for my reputation as an obnoxious fool if i let a jameis qb rating of 35 slide.. my fans have certain expectations..
The OL, with all the injuries, aren’t helping him.
LMFAO RAOUL 👍🤣
DM is great in so many ways, one being his “no big deal” style after great moments, like drilling a last second game winner: “act like ya been there before”.
I always tried to do that — unfortunately, I didn’t have that many heroic moments. when i did make game point in a pick up game, I would shout “next” toward the guys waiting to play the winners, and walk to the water fountain without saying another word.
“I missed the last four. I was due, but what about Isaac????”
awesome
DISCIPLINE IN ANY SPORT WILL MOST OF THE TIME RESULT IN A “ W” ………….,,….JB “ WHO “
I APPLAUD/ APPRECIATE SAM MY MAN TAKING THE CHARGES —— HIS DEFENSIVE AWARENESS—- MAKES UP FOR HIS AVERAGE ATHLETICISM—— STILL CONCERNED/ SCARED 1 OF THESE HARD CHARGES COULD SIDELINE HIM FOR AN EXTENDED AMOUNT OF TIME
GOOD FOR WINDLER ——-KOBY MAY HAVE “ WHIFFED “ ON WINDLER / KPJ —1st ROUND PICKS —— BUT HAS MADE UP FOR IT WITH SAM / WADE / CPJ / JEROME AND HOPEFULLY EMONI AND TYSON
KPJ is a talented guy, still in the league, but has not been able to keep his head on straight. A big swing with the 30th (?) pick. I can live with that.
If he’d have hit, we’d be looking at DG, KPJ Markannen, Mobley, & Allen right now.
Rewatching that final play to try to see what KA planned (“Donovan, pretend to lose the ball twice…”) Everyone was behind the three point line with Niang and Okoro in opposite corners. When Mobley saw DM make his move, he broke to the hoop, and DG swung around him to find space behind the three point line. So, I think the plan was to get Mitchell in isolation with lots of options to create.
Haven’t seen every game, but finally, some fantastic tactical use of the bench to find and create advantages and respond to situations in game. Riding ice when we can get the most out of his defensive capabilities and offensive limitations. This seemed like an obvious situation to use him, smother dame and use him smartly on offense since they are hiding dame on him anyway. Also, despite being down early, stuck with a plan and roles to still stagger and limit usages. Discipline in plan execution leads to discipline on the court and seemingly, everyone staying on script, limiting the… Read more »
While we all enjoying the ascendancy, a note about an ex-Cav who couldn’t make it happen in the 216. He might have found a home in my hometown. (Accent warning).

Good for Dylan!
yeah.
great guy, not quite talented and robust enough to be an NBA starter, but hanging in and living the dream. good for him.
GREAT “W” —-HOPING WE CAN SEE THIS CONSISTENT EFFORT/ GAME FROM ICE —-ESPECIALLY REBOUNDING—— THAT WOULD BE HUGE——- SAM MY MAN FINDING HIS STROKE 👍👍
The best part about game winners/clutch shots on the road is seeing the reaction of the crowd.
Mouths open, hands on their heads.. just in shock.
The beauty and pain of sports.
KA giving a shoutout to TT’s leadership
Merrill and Niang really holding up defensively. Go Sam!

Jimmy also has the opportunity to bury himself on Sunday.
ha-ha!
Kenny Atkinson did something JB couldn’t do in four years: got Ice to rebound.
8 REBOUNDS?????!!! WOW!
