The Cavs welcome our old nemesis Golden State Warriors to the banks of the Cuyahoga River for a potential 2025 NBA Finals preview between two of the best in teams in the NBA so far this season. Both teams come with great offenses and defenses… this is the ultimate measuring stick game that defines whether the Cavs are actual championship contenders or pretenders, hopefully they #LetEmKnow.
You’d have to give the slight edge to the Warrior defense, and give the slight edge to the Cavalier offense. Statistically it’s strength against strength. Cavs are the best shooting team in the NBA, and the Warriors are a great rebounding team, especially on the offensive end. Can the Cavs exploit the Warrior defense with some offensive rebounding of their own? Can the Cavs create turnovers and rebound on defense? Stay tuned…

Despite not having lots of garbage time plenty of Cavs played reduced minutes and should have some giddy-up for tonight.
In general Mobley’s minutes are down this year, but he obviously plays a much more active and involved role when he’s out there.
Isaac Okoro +32 against the Warriors. Who’d a thunk it?
I’d also note the Pistons are up to 4 wins. JB is having a positive effect there.
good for them and good for JB. JB might be the ideal coach for any team starting from scratch, or doing a total rebuild.
I hope he gets come credit as the Cavs dynasty plays out!
Cavs played the 2nd half with tonight’s game in mind, probably 3/4 speed.
Nets also on B2B. Gave Boston a real run last night (missing Brown & Zinger).

Though I must say, he spent a lot of time on Draymond.
That was a great move. Liked Mobley on Wiggins too.
DG on Curry is smart by Kenny. DG doesn’t always lock in on defense but he seems to take star positional matchups (Dame, Curry, Brunson, and last year he was good against Maxey and Trae) more to heart and ask for the assignment.
good point. he is another player that all the self appointed experts wanted to Cavs to give away last summer.

We have the greatest problem in sports. Too much competence. And I think we have the coach to unlock it as an injury saving weapon.
There will be bumps & bruises and illnesses even in a near best case scenario for injuries.
He will get opportunities,,especially with a 10 man rotation. KA seems to want to go 10, eve nights when we were down Strus, Wade, and LeVert.
KA clearly puts him in positions to succeed too: he seems to be cutting and diving a lot vs being the PnR handler against a set defense.
He’s not been super productive but you can tell KA has thought about what each of our guys do well
Great game tonight but, please, let us not overlook December 17, 1991, in which the Cavs outscored the Heat 75 to 27 in the second half of that historic win.

I think it’s on purpose. Mitchell has matured. He needs the young guns to gain confidence throughout the first half so he isn’t on fumes during the playoffs. I might be overestimating him but he hasn’t made many uncalculated decisions in his career
Could be. He’s only really taking his pet shots even when he’s closing.

totally agree. DM has shown awesome leadership chops. E.g., perfect timing on calling out the unfair fouls being called — do it before a game where we might need some breaks.
