NBA & Players Association Reach Tentative Agreement
2011-11-26NBA owners and players reached a tentative agreement early Saturday to end the 149-day lockout and hope to begin the delayed season on Christmas Day.
Neither side provided many specifics but said the only words players and fans wanted to hear.
[LOUD, GLEEFUL EXPLETIVE!] (Also, no one shoot this thing down at the last minute.)
A finally, a reason to start visiting my fav cavs websites again on a regular basis.
Thank god. I was really worried that there wouldnt be a season and we might get hurt by the draft rules and have to pick in the 20s. Maybe we will be able to get rid of Jamison at some point for an asset as well. Excited to see Kyrie, Tristan, Baron and Andy all out there healthy. I wonder how Eyenga’s game is coming along. Over under on wins 25? I really want to make sure we have a top 5 pick for this year’s draft. Hoping we can compete with young talent by 2012/13.
The lockout is “over”, but it’s not. I wish they would’ve come to a full agreement.
I would like to know what decisions have been made concerning the one-and-done in college basketball. Has the NBA made any rules requiring players to remain in college for at least 2 years, The one-and-done is hurting NCAA BB and frankly isn’t good for the veterans or game of the NBA for the most part. Many of these talented athletes are just not mature enough to make the leap. I am hoping the NBA will force a 2-year stay for the good of both leagues.
