Live Thread: Grizzlies @ Cavs

Cavs fans are eating good as we get to experience yet another prime time, national TV NBA showcase as the good guys welcome the Memphis Grizzlies to the banks of the Cuyahoga River for a possible NBA Finals preview. The Grizzlies have found their way back to prominence in the Western Conference, and they play the exact brand of basketball that beats the Cavs: they are the 2nd best rebounding team in the NBA by rebound rate. Whoever wins the boards, will win this game.
The sneaky thing about the Cavs recently is that they’re steadily improving their rebounding to where they’re sniffing the top 10… tonight will be the exact test needed to measure if their improvements are mirage or something more. Stay tuned…
Tip off is scheduled for 7:00PM Eastern time and will be broadcasted live nationally on ESPN, Go Cavs!

hard to see Detroit falling to 8th/9th. I mean, maybe Orlando catches them. But Miami kinda sucks without Butler.
Detroit can easily wind up 4th or 5th, and meet the Cavs in the second round.

What is going on with that, I wonder? As an amateur athlete I’ve never been in that situation, have I? Maybe once I was sure a pitch was a ball and it was really a strike?
for me it was smacking a defenders hand out of the way with my off hand while dribbling — was often sure I didn’t do that, but everyone else in the gym said I did. I think that is a pure reflex, and you don’t think about doing it.
