Live Thread: Cavs @ Grizzlies
2025-03-1415 going on 16, Cavs fans. The run for the record books rolls into Memphis tonight as the Cavs take on the the 42-24 Grizzlies. Memphis is in second out west, but a one game difference is all that separates them from fifth place, so they have a lot more to play for. Of course, in this season of super dominant teams versus hard core tankers, Cleveland is only a game and a half better than OKC for overall lead.
Cleveland will be without Donovan Mitchell tonight, but De’Andre Hunter is probable. For Memphis, Santi Aldama is out and the Grizz are calling Jaren Jackson Jr. a “game time decisions.” I don’t have a great feeling about this one, to be honest. Cleveland is favored by 2.5 points on the road while this is the start of a long road trip. Memphis is a tough place to play and the Cavs’ focus has definitely been drifting lately. If course, there was a dust-up last time these two played, so maybe the blood will be up for the wine and gold. We shall see. Go Cavs.
new LT up sorry guys,
Mitchell needs to take that shot instead of passing to wade
From what I’ve seen since he’s joined the team, while Hunter is not great at finishing at the rim, he has a Kevin Love like ability to draw and make foul shots, which is just as good or maybe even better.
BS call on Hunter. Banchero throws himself in to him, no foul called until the ball falls off the rim.
Hunter is starting at the 4.
Yep no Mobley. But Spida is back!
I think Mitchell might be playing today. He was removed from the Athletic injury report. Mobley still questionable.
cavs are becoming the body-builder on the beach (in the bikini to boot}.. flexing the muscles, while they kick sand in the face of the lesser teams.. and doing it with politeness and good sportsmanship.. just better.. domination becoming expected.. just like our NOMAD bro back in the 70s (bikini briefs showing the goods, with chuck taylors, while the MRS NOMAD drools on the sidelines).. javonte green pickup is another key development.. depth of bench becoming overwhelming.. look at box score in win against grizz in the memphis gas pit.. FO is guiding the campaign.. coaching is guiding the ship..… Read more »
SPIDA / MOBES QUESTIONABLE FOR TOMORROW—- NO PROBLEM—-EXPECT MAGIC TO BE PHYSICAL / JUNK IT UP —— WANT TO TRY AND SEND CAVS A MESSAGE
REALLY LIKE KA / CAVS FOCUS ON THE PLAYOFFS AND NOT THE STREAK ——- KA USED A GOOD EXAMPLE OF THE LION s 15– 2 AND LOSING 1st PLAYOFF GAME—— “ WE DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN “ !!
EMONI -GOOD NIGHT—- 5/11 FROM 3 — 23 PTS —— MORE IMPORTANTLY 9 REB ‘s ——-6 ASSISTS —- HIS REBOUNDING/ PASSING HAVE REALLY IMPROVED—- HOPEFULLY HIS DEFENSE ALSO!!!
DRE IS A GAME CHANGER 👍—— HOPE AFTER LAST NIGHT WE SEE MORE “ GREEN LIGHT “ —- I AM SURE KA WAS NOT HAPPY WITH ThE PATHETIC SHOWING OF THE “ JUICE SQUAD “ —THE MINUTES THEY GET ARE VITAL TO SHOW YOUR SKILL LEVELS AND COMPETITIVENESS—— THEY FAILED ON BOTH——— PLAYING TIME IS EARNED NOT GIVEN——- HOPE TO SEE BETTER PLAY / RESULTS NEXT TIME!!!!
Well,,not getting a bucket the last 4 minutes made it look closer than it was. But a great win sans Spida. And with DG not shooting well from deep.
But Mobley did. Hunter did. And so did Merrill, who is really in a nice groove now.
Season 3PT% (with Cavs): Hunter 50.8%, CPJ 45.5%, Jerome 43.5%, Green 42.9%, Garland 40.8%, (LeVert 40.5%, Niang 40.0%), Mitchell 38.4%, Strus 37.8%, Merrill 37.7%, Okoro 37.6%, Mobley 36.9%, Wade 34.1%, Tyson 33.3%.
Mobley really fought for rebounds tonight. Super game all around from him.
Darius with killer steals, too.
Great game. Hustle, movement, locked in shooting.
Sam’s shot is looking great.
Jaren Jackson Jr did not impress as a candidate for best defender.
Yes. All that without Donovan.
That end of the fourth made the box score look insane. We lost the rebounding, turnover, and possession battle and won cuz we made 8 more threes. It was a wire to wire win basically but it looks like we got lucky lol
I don’t know who would consider 8 more threes ‘lucky.’
I think the point was that garbage time made the game look much closer than it was.
AGREED TIME TO SHINE AND THEY “ PISSED DOWN THEIR LEG “ KA CAN T BE HAPPY WITH THAT —— BRAD WAS MORE NERVOUS THAN KA
Franchise record 16th in a row.
JA needs to get that hand right. Still 16.
I’m disappointed in the zoo crew. Get it together!
DAMN CMON JUICE SQUAD
The garbage time guys seem way worse than other teams garbage time guys
Only tonight. Usually they are about as bad
Barf
