Live Thread: Cavs @ Grizzlies
2025-03-1415 going on 16, Cavs fans. The run for the record books rolls into Memphis tonight as the Cavs take on the the 42-24 Grizzlies. Memphis is in second out west, but a one game difference is all that separates them from fifth place, so they have a lot more to play for. Of course, in this season of super dominant teams versus hard core tankers, Cleveland is only a game and a half better than OKC for overall lead.
Cleveland will be without Donovan Mitchell tonight, but De’Andre Hunter is probable. For Memphis, Santi Aldama is out and the Grizz are calling Jaren Jackson Jr. a “game time decisions.” I don’t have a great feeling about this one, to be honest. Cleveland is favored by 2.5 points on the road while this is the start of a long road trip. Memphis is a tough place to play and the Cavs’ focus has definitely been drifting lately. If course, there was a dust-up last time these two played, so maybe the blood will be up for the wine and gold. We shall see. Go Cavs.
Mobley really fought for rebounds tonight. Super game all around from him.
Darius with killer steals, too.
Great game. Hustle, movement, locked in shooting.
Sam’s shot is looking great.
Jaren Jackson Jr did not impress as a candidate for best defender.
Yes. All that without Donovan.
That end of the fourth made the box score look insane. We lost the rebounding, turnover, and possession battle and won cuz we made 8 more threes. It was a wire to wire win basically but it looks like we got lucky lol
