Live Thread: Cavs @ Knicks

The Cavs are on Broadway tonight as they take on the New York Knicks in legendary Madison Square Garden. The Cavs are engaging in a balance of load management vs. top form. The Knicks need to win to secure the 3rd seed and avoid the Milwaukee Bucks. We’ll see how it plays out under the bright lights of Gotham.
Tip off is scheduled for 7:30PM Eastern time and will be broadcasted live on Fanduel Sports Network, Go Cavs!
Didn’t get to watch last night’s game live, but with the benefit of hindsight I really like how the Cavs rested the starters one night, and then the top bench the next. JA wants to play all 82, but he’s not logging excessive minutes and from all appearances his hand is healthier now than when he played through the mid-season injury. And Donovan gets two solid weeks to recuperate his ankle. The only thing I was a little “worried” about lately was Darius’ scoring; not worried anymore after his last two outings. I clicked away at -23 and watched something else. Came back for all of the 4th. One of the many joys this season is watching DG turn into an alpha scorer in the 4th. Puts a wide grin on my face. Go Cavs!

The depth of this team is insane. They really should have beat the pacers without their top 4…and somehow beat the Knicks without their 1, 6, 7, and 8. CPJ is a role player on most teams in the NBA…and I contest he should be getting minutes on this team even though it would mean 4 guards outside of Strus. What Cleveland does in the playoffs will run through two guys…Garland and Mobley. If they arrive this year we win a title. Cavs outscored NY 30-16 in the 4th.. DG with 13 pts and 2 assists for 5 pts.. what a 4th quarter on the road for the good guys!
What a game. Sorry I missed it with you guys. One TV on vacation and the wife insists on watching the Guards with the Cavs basically playing out the regular season. Joke’s on her. As I woke her up after she went to bed when Garland hit that shot over Mitchrob.
A first round matchup with ATL and our boys Caris and Georges a very real possibility, now.

Not that he cannot still give us something on D. He does rebound well. And joining late in the year is tough.
But I think Okoro has stabilized some. He started well and really took a dive after that shoulder injury. It took a while for him to get right afterwards.
Ditto DG after getting hit in the face. I hope he can continue on with his good play once Spida gers back.
I think the top 10 guys are set in stone if we are healthy.
Will be interesting which of the 3rd team guys are active for the POs. I’d guess CPJ, Green, and TT if it is 13.
Was 15 a season high for Ice?
BTW, the Pacers rested their starters today even though they could still catch the Knicks. They either prefer the Bucks over the Pistons and/or us overcthe Celts in Rd2.
