Live Thread: Cavs @ Hornets

The Cavs have traversed to the Carolina Piedmont to take on the suddenly sneaky tough Charlotte Hornets for a nationally televised “rivalry week” game brought to you by ESPN. The teams have split the first two matchups in the season, so there is a little bit of extra juice to this one for the good guys. Both teams are relatively healthy (though the Cavs are missing three of their best outside shooters), and it probably means more for the Cavs to rack up Eastern Conference wins in case playoff tiebreakers come into play.
Tip off is scheduled for 7:00PM Eastern time and will be broadcasted live nationally on ESPN or locally on Fanduel Sports Network, Go Cavs!

Need a lot more offense from the bigs. Fortunately they have been good against the Magic but 3 in 4 night with two v Orlando is really hard. Magic probably get Suggs back so fully healthy.
Bring up Hayes. Anyone to take Donovan off the ball for a few shifts at a time.
Agree the Hayes 10-day seems worth doing now if Garland’s going to be out at least couple more weeks which seems the case. Donovan started the season playing successfully in a style he intended to reduce wear and tear (improved 3ball efficiency, perfecting his Euro/floater move, fewer drives all the way to the rim), but lately with Garland out again he’s having to grind a lot. Still 37 games until the postseason.
Interesting to see Nance back from purgatory. Does that signal they’re closer to a Hunter trade?

Yes, dominant 1st half. Focus drifted after that, but I don’t mind tight games as a teacher.

Last minute of 2nd Q the Cavs offense fizzled a bit. Has bled into the 3rd, Hornets lifting their D substantially.
I’m really liking Proctor / Porter lineups in the backcourt for the bench minutes.
No mistakes, valuing possessions, making the right play always, good defense and rebounding.
