Live Thread: Cavs @ Grizzlies
2026-04-06Never seen a team more injured than this Grizzlies team, meanwhile, the Cavs are resting lots in preparation for a home and home series with the red hot Hawks. Combine that with a Guards game and a national championship game and the viewership might be the lowest of the year for your wine and gold. Let’s hope we this G-League matchup has some juice. Go Cavs. Go Charge.

LT up. Sorry guys. Traveling.
I’d love to see Philly finish 7th and five Boston a real run in Rd 1. My best pro-Cavs bracket would probably be:
1 Det v 8 Charlotte
4 Cavs v 5 Tor
3 NY v 6 Atl
2 Bos v 7 Phi
Cavs finishing 3rd and Philly beating Boston Rd1 would also work.
Updated with last night’s results. I think Atl, Philly, and Charlotte are out toughest possible R1 foes. Boston obviously toughest in the East.
East:
28: NY: Bos, Tor, Cha
29: Cavs: Atl, at Atl, Wash
—————–
34: Atl: at Cavs, Cavs, at Mia
35: Tor: Mia, at NY, Brk
——————-
36: Phi: at Hou, at Indy, Mil
36: Orl: Minny, at Chi, at Bos
37: Cha: Det, at NY
———-Play-In Bound
38: Mia: at Tor, at Wash, Atl
West:
28: Den: Mem, OKC, at SA
29: LAL: at GSW, Phx, Utah
29: Hou: Philly, Minny, Mem
KA MIGHT GIVE THE STARTERS A “ QUARTER RUN “. DONT RISK INJURY / DONT EXPOSE ANYTHING TO THE HAWKS —— DONT LET HAWKS GET CONFIDENCE—- DONT ALLOW OUR PLAYERS TO BECOME “ WORRIED “ — “ CONCERNED ——— TOUGH CALL TO MAKE———HAWKS DO PRESENT A PROBLEM IN MY OPINION——- WE NEED A HEALTHY ( at least 90%) JA !!
FINALLY A MEDIA POST ( FAN SIDED ) SEES WHAT I HAVE POSTED RECENTLY—— THE TALENT AND RISE OF TERRENCE REESE ( UCONN). —AS I HAVE POSTED BEFORE ( at least 3 times). BEFORE THE NCAA TOURNEY HE WASNT IN ANYONE s TOP 50 MOCK DRAFT——— FAN SIDED HAS CAVS TAKING HIM —— UNLESS THERE IS A TOP TALENT THAT FALLS—-REESE WOULD BE A SOLID PICK
Wade and Tyson up to questionable. Bryant OUT with calf strain.
That is it.
You’d think KA would want to get Tyson & Wade into a game that means something (non-Wiz) before the POs. Maybe even 2. But don’t want either re-injuring anything, either. Mobes still shy of 65.
Feels like they’ll run everyone out tonight to get a feel and then maybe give Mobley a token start against the Wiz. I don’t love half-measures like this, but I imagine there is some tension between Donovan’s competitiveness and Kenny’s “big picture” focus…
…so this feels like an acceptable “split-the-difference” compromise

MY BAD MR STEAL—- I GET STRESSED ENOUGH JUST VIEWING/ SUPPORTING CLEVELAND/BUCKEYE SPORTS—LET ALONE ( which recently I have avoided) TUNING INTO WORLD NEWS AND VIEWING “ THE STRESSORS OF NEGATIVITY AND POWER “——— WE ARE “ COOL “ MR STEAL 👍👍👍—- YOUR OPINION s ARE ALWAYS ENLIGHTENING/ APPRECIATED/ WELCOMED 👍👍
Let’s just enjoy the hoops (and other sports) as an escape from whatever needs escaping.
Looking forward to this post season. Definitely a different story line w some potential echoes of past seasons. And I’m ok if the general media/fandom/commentariat writes Cavs off. At the end of the day, were you entertained? So far, frequently yes.
yeah! it has been an entertaining season. right now there are about 10 contenders, and the Cavs are one of them. looking forward to the playoffs!
If you haven’t already seen it, check out this 18 minute short featuring a more mature, and gracious Joakim Noah making a visit to Cleveland (in winter). Bonds w locals, attends Cavs/Lakers. Plenty of cameos. Best is Anderson Varejao near end. Just sweet.

SORRY I MEANT MR STEAL ( NOT RAOUL ) MY BAD ————- GOING TO TAKE A BREAK FROM POSTING ON CTB AS I BELIEVE I HAVE “ STRUCK A NERVE “ THAT I SHOULDNT HAVE——- LATER BROS —-AGAIN MY APOLOGIES!!!
not offended by the opinion just really liked watching Cavs game before the threat of nuclear annihilation loomed! it’s a stressor!
I take no “offense” from your post. But just want to say (and feel compelled to note) that, these days, we do not have the benefit of transparent, unbiased US mainstream news coverage about our military conflicts, or transparent information from our government about them. So it’s hard to say what’s going on, including with the operation you mention. I speak from the perspective of both having spent 25 years as a Justice Department lawyer defending government agencies; and the last year (and counting) as a lawyer for a non-profit, suing the government. But I’ve never mentioned anything about politics… Read more »
I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING RAOUL—- AND AGREE—— NOT POSTING SUPPORT OR OPPOSITION——-JUST REMARKING ON AN AMAZING RESCUE OPERATION———— APOLOGIES TO ALL IF I HAVE OFFENDED ANYONE BY MY POST ( NOT MY INTENT ) —WILL STICK TO POSTING ABOUT SPORTS/ BEER / AND “ THE “ MRS NOMAD ONLY 👍👍👍
There is literally no one who is not happy that the rescue was successful.
OVER THE YEAR s I HAVE LIVED I HAVE MARVELED OVER THE EXPLOITS OF MANY TREMENDOUS ATHLETES IN ALL SPORTS——— BUT THE RECENT RESCUE MISSION IN IRAN HAS ME IN TOTAL AWE —— THE PRECISION/ COORDINATION/ DETERMINATION IS UTTERLY AMAZING——-I SALUTE/ APPLAUD OUR MILITARY!!!👍👍👍
iran is a waste of lives and a moral repugnancy. shame on all of us. physical bravery in service of moral degeneracy is tainted
The L Column/Schedule:

I’d like to finish ahead of Denver, as I thinknthey have a puncher’s chance out west. We did sweep them & should own the TB.
Closer to home, the Knicks do have a tough run in. Boston has not quite clinched #2 yet. 3 game lead, but they have a game left with NY and the Knicks currently own the TB. Cha, at NY, NO, Orl for Boston. A loss vs Charlotte tonight and things *might* get interesting for the #2 seed.
YOU GOT ME MR STEAL ( gave up on cavs too soon) NEED MORE OF THIS TYPE GAME FROM SCHROEDER— AM SURE HE WILL GET ALOT OF MINUTES REST OF REGULAR SEASON———-WILL BE INTERESTING WHO PLAYS/ AND HOW LONG THEY PLAY———LNJ 2 SOLID GAMES/ ROW —-COULD HE POSSIBLY HELP COME PLAYOFF TIME
142 in a game with actual Enaruna minutes and down two All-NBA guards. Maybe guarding the rim and forcing TOs (13) works?
Lol. G-League roster on the other side.
down two starters. did you LOL the Hawks when they, fully healthy, put 146 on the G-League Grizz (plus Ty Jerome)?
of course not, bc the smartest thing you can do as a fan is…run down your own team?
50 wins!
Philly gonna lose to SA. 3 way tie for 7th. Toronto 6th.
The Grizz are shooting 50% in FGs and 53% from deep. With 12 guys out.
Our D is absolutely pathetic.
Slow start but got going towards the end of the half. Up 11 after 3. Nice to see Tomlin having a good game. Schröder, too.
Clinched home court. Knicks have 3 home games left. Celtics, Raptors, Hornets. Magic # of 2 for them to clinch #3.
L column:
34: Hawks (#5)
35: Phi, Tor
36: Cha, Orl
37: Mia
Both teams just lettin it fly.
Grizz closing in on franchise record for 3’s in a game. A good opportunity for the bench to learn how to defend the perimeter.
Or the starters, for that matter.
100%
Enjoying watching our backup guards having fun.
Knicks prevail
Harden (personal) – LOL.
Last night DM and JH put their heads down and made plays for themselves. Not bashful given the shorthanded roster. Had hoped for similar intensity from JA and EM tonight. Absent so far.
DIAL IN A “ L “ FOR THE CAVS ——- GOING TO COME DOWN TO LAST GAME ON SUNDAY TO BEAT THE WIZARD s—— OK TURNING MY ATTENTION TO NATIONAL TITLE GAME —— I SAY TTUN BY DOUBLE DIGITS
16 point win
NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR THE GOOD GUYS—- HAWKS UP ON KNICKS
YOU ARE FINE NATE 👍—— AGREE MIGHT BE AN ALL TIME LOW ON CTB POST s ——— JEROME “ REVENGE “ GAME??
Sorry for late Lt guys.
No worries, thank you Nate! gotta finish dinner and homework, hopefully back for the 2nd half!
