Agree with Windhorst (from his 5 Good Minutes segment yesterday). He pointed out Cavs are going in to a 1oclock game one basically having had a week off. Raptors are the fastest paced team. Cavs have to prepare for that aggressiveness or it could wind up ugly quickly.
1pm starts have been brutal for the team. Hopefully they will have their act together.

Some of that is literally on Kenny though. He’s experimented a ton.
Not much, IMHO. DG was outcthe first 25 games or so. Strus, too. Allen’s finger had him miss games. Merrill was hurt a bunch early, and again late. Mobes had multiple calf absences. Allen’s knee late. Wade had muktiple stints where he was out. Slida missed time. The trades. Harden’s finger. Ellis’ finger. When one guy would get back, someone else would get dinged. Nah, Hunter was out from jump (along with DG) and it snowballed with the Merrill and Allen November injuries and was one guy in one out for months. Maybe the CPJ at 3 against Minny was silly but that’s the exception proving the rule

FWIW, Garland’s ON/OFF splits are fantastic in LA. Better than Harden’s. While Harden’s are better here than DGs. Though still not as impressive as DGs in LA (+10.9, +11.3) on a team that was only +1.2 as a group.
No reason it couldn’t have happened here, he’s a great player going through navigating a nagging injury. It’s a pity the Clips will get obliterated by OKC
I don’t know that he showed that he and DM could win it. in any event, when you watch JH, it is clear that he is on a different level than DG.
Harden is an all timer, agree. I think we’re better this year and next.
I get the bet on Harden based on today’s on-court production but there were folks talking like there was anything going on with DG but injury. He’s always been a strong net positive when healthy.

The Raptors went 3-0 against the Cavs this year, but all three games occurred between Oct. 31 and late November, when the Raptors were in the midst of by FAR their best stretch of basketball the whole season: 13-1 over 14 games. Outside of that stretch, they were a below .500 team the rest of the year (33-35), including barely over .500 after the All-Star break (14-13). And since all the games occurred pre-Garland and Hunter trades and before Strus returned – they never really played the current Cavs.

We were 0-3 vs Toronto. Lost all 3 by double digits. All were early, pre-Harden. No DG for anybod them. JA missed 2. Mitchell missed 1.
Obviously no Strus or Ellis or Schröder either.
Toronto should be happy to get us, as the Knicks absolutely owned them.
But I still prefer them to the Hawks.
