Ime Udoka has engaged in serious “tough talk” with the young Rockets and they will not get out of the first round and I’d have him as a favorite to be the first playoff team coach fired. Maybe that’s not the way to help young teams grow.

Stars didn’t show up in this one. I have no clue why Mitchell was so passive. He was just standing in the corner from the jump. Still…we were within 2 to start the 4th. That’s when having the best players on the floor should help us, but it didn’t. Absolutely zero effort. Are we sure Mitchell and Harden actually want to win a chip?

CPJ absolutely had his chances and was fine. He’s not an answer to any playoff question.

I agree CPJ was given every reasonable opportunity this year. Problem is that despite the good things he does, he just won’t shoot (or can’t), and that’s a problem when other non-shooters already are on the floor. If there’s any second guessing to be done, in my view it’s whether they should have tried to accelerate Proctor instead of mostly redshirting him.
