2011-12-12“Baron Davis missed his third consecutive day of training camp with what the team is calling tightness in his lower back.Unlike the first two days of practice, Davis was not at the training facility on Sunday. He was seeking another opinion on the injury, coach Byron Scott said.” [Tom Reed]
“Free agent guard Anthony Parker signed a one-year deal to return to the Cavaliers on Monday, becoming a possible starter at shooting guard and bringing veteran leadership to the locker room of this young team.” [Mary Schmitt Boyer]
“Daniel ‘Boobie’ Gibson might not be the biggest player on the Cavaliers’ roster. He’s not even the biggest guard. But he certainly has the best right hook. Gibson said he did some boxing during the lockout to stay in shape and to improve his hand speed and endurance.” [Bob Finnan]
“Logic suggests the Cavaliers will contend only for a top-5 draft pick come spring. They lack high-end talent and proven scoring from the wings. The lockout-shortened season will afford precious little practice time for rookies Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson. But if Scott can spur improvement the way he did in his second years in New Jersey and New Orleans, the upcoming Cavaliers season should keep fans’ interest at least until Indians pitchers and catchers report.” [Tom Reed]

In the absence of anything THRILLING and Cavs related, I hope nobody minds if I ask a non cavs related question: I posted some info about CP3’s knee’s in the last thread, the one with 30+ comments, which I’m not going to do again, but its there to reference. Seriously, there are some smart people who post in these boards, do any of you have any questions about his health? Its the exact same injury/problem as Brandon Roy had, and he just retired after 5 seasons. Given that much of Paul’s scoring game relies on insane quickness and cutting, and… Read more »
I’m hoping Eyenga and Gee show some improvement after last season. Due to the fact they both saw some good minutes, I’m expecting them to have understood what is expected of them and learned from the extended time on the court. They both showed signs of what could they evolve into, I guess we will see soon.
Btw I’m thinking we will win 13 games this shortened season… How about you?
Wow Eyenga. Hopefully he added a reliable jump shot along with those two inches.
