Cavaliers At Kings Open Thread
2009-12-23Hey folks, it’s minutes from tipoff at Arco, so here’s an open thread for you to play in. The Kings actually have a better home record than the Cavs’ road record, so this one won’t be a joke. Also, Tyreke is a beast.
During commercials, Simmons has an article up today with his always entertaining trade ideas, and the Cavs are involved in quite a few of them, with most deals involving Shaq’s expiring contract. Read and talk among yourselves.
For additional coverage, hop over to Sactown Royalty or Cowbell Kingdom, two of the best team blogs out there. Alright folks, have fun.
(By the way, if you think 60% of the reason I made this game thread was to find an excuse to post that picture, you’re right.)
did u see this quote of tyreke on lebron (via ESPN)?
“Toward the end of the game, he was laughing at me, saying ‘This is where superstars step up,” said Evans, who went to James’ basketball camp twice. “He’s big and strong and quick. I had him beat a couple times but couldn’t finish. I was rushing.”
i can’t tell if he meant that as a metaphorical laughing at him or not. if it actually happened, it’s kinda interesting to hear about the more sinister side of on-court Lebron that we don’t really get to see.
Love Simmons’ column. Love the idea of giving up JJ (h8 JJ), and hopefully Shaq, but I could live without Z (sorry Z), to get Murphy or Jamison. I dunno who’d I want more. Jamison has had that shoulder injury, and Indiana is more likely to blow up everybody except Granger. I’m cool with Murphbro. Also, I don’t have ESPN Insider. Can someone tell me what that bullshit is with Kobe vs LeBron? What’d they say about it?
Andy? A toe on the line deep 2? What? It went in? It turns out without that crazy basket out of nowhere we’re in deep trouble.
Wow.
As much as I like Simmons ( I need to buy his book sometime) I don’t like his idea of giving up JJ or getting Anthony Randolph. Maybe it’s fan loyalty, but I think he’s close to really getting it and becoming very productive. Another of his ideas would involve CP3 and Mo and Delonte sharing the backcourt. How would that work? Mo off the bench? Mo as a 2 guard?
Uh…Z, Varejao, Delonte, Boobie, Mo? This is odd….
