In the Cavs LeBron-less final preseason game, the boys in wine and gold came up short to the Grizzlies ground and pound attack 96-92. Memphis stands at 21-5, just a game and a half back of Golden State for the best record in the league. Tom Pestak’s team to fear Memphis, currently ranks fifth league-wide in points allowed with a stingy 96.7 per game.
Will the Cavs improve upon their pathetic 2-6 record thus far against the Western Conference? Which team will control the tempo? Will this be remembered as the Jon Leuer revenge game?

LBJ with 9 assists in the first half, but just one in the third quarter. Passing has dried up mostly in this quarter

Also really sharing the ball with 19 assists (9 from LBJ) on 24 buckets. Only downside is 9 turnovers (LBJ with 4)
At least one of those was a bad call and another was just being too fancy. Fired up about the energy I hope they can have it at the start of third which has been an issue lately
Aside from a couple of lapses at the end of each quarter, some of the most solid D played by the Cavs this year in the first half.
I agree and it is against one of the top teams. We play like this consistently and look out.
I would prefer if it was against a full-strength Grizzlies team with Z-Bo and Tony Allen, but it’s still really good to see them hustle and defend with purpose. Rotations seem much better
I would love to see Tony Allen gaurd kyrie. Or love and Randolph go at it in the post. Andy and gasol is fun to watch as well

Well, that was a real letdown to end the quarter. I think I counted 4 LBJ passes that were either tipped, fumbled or intercepted
The officiating was especially bad that quarter. Refs consistently blowing possession calls, and that TT call on Conley was crap.

I’ve seen probably a half-dozen games where she’s on the floor this year (non Cavs games) where the same thing happens at least three or four times a game.
These refs seem confused more than once
