Live Thread: Cavs @ Suns

The Cavs have another West coast game, but this won’t be the same team we have all grown accustomed to watching over the past two weeks. King James is finally returning to action. It has been rumored that he hasn’t felt himself all season. As of right now, it has not been rumored that the King will return and still be super frail. I’m taking that to mean that he will once again be the high flying, ball swatting, bag of basketball sexiness I witnessed during the first few years of his career. Yay, optimism. Nate has some thoughts on tonight’s game that can be found here.
Shawn Marion is also back tonight.
What are you predictions? I think the Cavs play competitively, but still lose, 107-110.

This team is DONE. It has no heart.
I honestly can’t ever recall a team with this much talent play so poorly. The Cavs are consistently bad. This is more painful to watch than last year. The reality is sinking in. The Cavs have no more moves to make this year. Lebron can’t save this season.

JR is playing great. But again the Suns with another 30 point quarter. I don’t know how but the Cavs keep leaving wide open the Suns shooters.

It was a few minutes ago, but Blatt shouldn’t have to shout at the Cavs to stop the ball when they have everybody back on D. He may be as mystified as the rest of us by the frequent lack of effort and loss of focus this season.

Yeah, the Kings announcers complained a couple of times the last game that Blatt was coming three steps onto the court and maybe it’s allowed in Europe, but in the NBA he should be T’d up. Lebron probably just noticed the same thing and was saving Blatt. But doesn’t optically look great, and it also doesn’t help the “Blatt doesn’t know what he is doing in the NBA” media narrative.

It wasn’t a shielding from the ref, it was a push with the arm extended. What may have been said doesn’t matter. It was a total disrespect for the coach. Besides, coaches push players away from getting t’d up, not vice versa.

I am not kidding, Mo Williams scored 52 points for the Timberwolves tonight as they beat Indiana. It makes a little sense in that two of the opposing guards included CJ Miles and Donald Sloan.
Wow. That probably tops his old career high by about 20 points.
For the record, Williams’ previous career high was 44 (with the Cavs). He hadn’t scored 30 points in almost three years.

It seems to me he is too afraid of the block, pump-faking his way into ugly shots.

Lots of Cavs defense lapses. At least two on drives early in the quarter and that Tucker 3. All I want is them to show they’re caring.
