Live Thread: Cavs vs. Pacers (Pre-season)

For tonight’s feature entertainment, the Cavs host Paul George (now PG-13) and the Indiana Pacers at the Q in the third to last (holy moly… when will the preseason end?!) exhibition game. So far, the guys in Wine & Gold (and sometimes blue) have been mildly entertaining, but have little to show for their effort in the preseason. They’d currently be coming in “rotten” on the Tomato-mometer at 0-4, as they experience a general lack of star power due to injury, rest or holdout. LeBron will sit this one out, lowering the marquee value for the Cavs, however, J.R. Smith will return from his sore hammy to help spike the ratings a bit (or at least shade them more towards an “R”).
The probable starting lineups will be: Mo Williams, J.R. Smith, Richard Jefferson, Anderson Varejao and Timofey Mozgov for the Cavs; and George Hill, Monta Ellis, Chase Budinger, Paul George and Ian Mahinmi for the Pacers. Tip off is at 7 pm (EST), and you can catch all the action on Fox Sports Ohio and 1100 WTAM.

Cunningham tried too much there. Should’ve moved the ball. But I get it, he needs to play hero as he wants to make the team.

I think that happen because he saw JR come open but he had already decided to go to the hoop… It would’ve been a sweet pass had he pulled it off.

Totally agree… my opinion of Monta changed for the better during his Dallas tenure.

Speed of the game may be a factor with Kaun. Not a huge issue, but he does look a little slow.
Jordan Hill was a good pick up by the Pacers.

Mo had a really rough first quarter… 0-3, three turnovers and three fouls…
That’s Mo! Once everyone is back he’ll be a great option.
I’m calling him the Mike Miller memorial washed up veteran until he proves otherwise.
I don’t see it. Miller had back issues and it showed. Mo may not be able to defend, but that matters least from a team defense perspective. Mo with the second unit will be devastating to other teams.
