Live Thread: Cavs vs Bucks

The first of many meetings between the Cavs and the Bucks goes down tonight. The heir apparent to King James’s throne will challenge the man himself in what should be a closely contested match. LeBron seems to defy the aging process and Giannis is living up to his nickname of “The Greek Freak,” doing all sorts of spectacular things on the court.

The rest of the Cavs and Bucks will look to provide support as the two duel to the death. Okay, maybe not to the death, but neither one will likely back down from this challenge. Both teams have a healthy roster, aside from the perpetually hurt Jabari Parker.

Look for Milwaukee to come out swinging as they defend home court for their home debut. They usually play some pretty disruptive defense, trying to get steals and get out in open court. It won’t be an easy match-up for a team that has a habit of treating the regular season like the preseason. I’m hoping we can see a little bit more of that myth of an offense designed to run through Kevin Love.

Hopefully the Cavs can continue their Eastern Conference dominance and put one of their challengers in their rightful place, squarely behind them. This should be an exciting game and a good measuring stick on how the guys are coming together. As always, go Cavs!
