Live Thread: Cavs @ Pacers

Will the real Cavs show up tonight? Will the staring backcourt make it to ten points? Will the Cavs be better without Isaiah Thomas on the floor? Will the Cavs give craps in the first half? Will there be a coherent offensive and defensive game plan?
All these questions will be answered and more as the Cavs try to wake from their malaise tonight in Indiana. The Pacers are missing Myles Turner while the Cavs still roll without Shump or Rose, and Isaiah is resting on the second night of a back-to-back. The Cavs have lost 13 of the last 15 in Indy and Victor Oladipo gave them fits last time they played. Well… Go Cavs!

We got to the finals last year because east sucks even though we are on a decline. Now we’re still declining and the east got way better. I don’t think (and I sincerely hope) we don’t make the finals with this team.

With the team as CURRENTLY CONSTRUCTED I know what their ceiling is. With that said, (most likely) going against Dubs, Rockets of Spurs would absolutely be massacre. Therefore no i don’t want to go there with that scenario.

WHOA! Cedi was an absolute maven on D. Far and away the Cavs best defender and harrassed Cory Joseph up and down the floor. It’s no coincidence that the Pacers got back in the game when Cedi went to the bench. LeBron was scoring, and Jeff Green was running the floor, but Cedi impressed me most that half.
He had some good plays on Oladipo…refreshing to see a guy not get blown by…

Korver shoul start there, unless there is a terrible defensive matchup for him…but JR has been the worst defensive starting 2 guard in the league, or close to it, anyway…

If Cedi can get to be a 35%+ three point shooter, he can be a real player in this league. He’s the Cavs’ best defender right now. (Aside from Lebron when he wants to try)

Cavs may have finally decided to stop losing. Makes sense. They usually don’t go into funks for longer than 8-10 games plus gs is coming up.
