Live Thread: Cavs vs. Pistons

The drama that is the Cleveland Cavaliers continues even after a successful win against the Pacers. They couldn’t play any defense and LeBron had 11 turnovers for a rare quadruple double, but they still managed to pull out a victory, 115-108. Nonetheless, the issues have not disappeared and Isaiah Thomas doesn’t think he should shoulder the blame even though his defense is outrageously awful.
Sunday night’s match-up is against the Detroit Pistons who are struggling worse than the Cavs. With a 22-25 record, the Pistons are losers of their last seven straight games. No one’s been traded and there hasn’t been much noise on that front lately so it appears all of the Cavaliers are available tonight except Dwayne Wade. As usual, I expect Cleveland to play down to their opponents and make this a much closer game then usual. Go Cavs!

Underrated aspect of Bron moving back to the three: he doesn’t have to dig for the d-boards as much so the outlet pass then Bron takes off is a much more frequent possibility

The Cavs just don’t get back to stop the opposing team fast break. After a miss or turnover they jus don’t get back to defend.

Well that was an ugly possession for IT…
Yeah. First one, however. Made a nice play to Frye for a 3 that rimmed out. He will have to create more with this unit. If he isn’t playing well, it will struggle.
IT, Korver, Crowder, Green, Frye to start the 2nd.
Much rather see IT out there without LeBron… so at least he can try to run an offense that works…

I expect the Cavs to win, but likely it will be close. I expect JR to take more shots, and score around 15. I expect IT to not be impressive…until he is physically 100% (if that ever happens), I expect him to be a pretty large detriment…
