It’s only Tuesday, but it’s already been kind of a heavy week for the King. Off the court, there’s been a lot of hullabaloo about Phil Jackson taking shots at LeBron and his “posse.”  One of LBJ’s Horsemen, Maverick Carter, had already provided a rebuke to PJ, and LeBron himself proclaimed his loss of respect for the Knicks’ President.
On the court, the King had his two week reign as Eastern Conference Player of the Week brought to an end by one of tonight’s opponents, DeMar DeRozan. All DeMar had to do to overcome LeBron was average 34.7 points a game, while shooting 54 percent from the floor during the Raptors’ perfect 3-0 week. He also currently leads the league in scoring, at around a similar 34 points per game, and is the first player since Michael Jordan in 1986-87 to score at least 30 points in eight of his first nine games to start a season. All this despite taking just 14 threes and making just three of them (21%), meaning all of his damage is being done from mid-range on in.
This is already the second time the Cavs are meeting up with arguably their closest thing to a rival in the East thus far this season. Cleveland put down the revolt in the Air Canada Centre, 94-91, in the second game, but Toronto is unquestionably gunning for the throne. Both teams sit atop the standings once again at 8-1 and 7-2 respectively as they clash this time at the Q.
The Cavs are on a hot streak of their own as a team, breaking the league record set by the Houston Rockets two years ago as the first team to make at least 10 triples in every game to start the season. And, while the wine and gold are on pace to hit more threes than any team in history, Ty Lue still thinks they can shoot even better from beyond the arc than they already have.
The Cavs will be without JR Smith for a second consecutive game (sore right ankle), but this time it will be Richard Jefferson replacing him in the starting lineup over a struggling Mike Dunleavy. The Raptors will be without DeMarre Carroll.
Prediction: As Jack Nicholson says in the above clip “The only one who can do what I do… is me.” And the only one who can do what LeBron does… is him. Cavs protect the throne, 105-98.
Catch all the action on NBATV at 7pm EST… And chime in here…
GO CAVS!
And that’s why you put TT in for defense in the final minute! LOL!
I expected Channing to be key for the Cavs this season but he has really been unbelievable.
That’s why Frye is in and not TT…
ICE in Frye’s veins!!
https://vine.co/v/5TKFtVwH7Tq
That SHOULD have been a no call on RJ. Hate that play.
Good acting going on
Man… Cavs giving away several points at the line…
Thanks Mr Lowry lol
Dwayne Casey is LOSING it!
LOL I wish you guys seen him in Coach’s Corner on NBA. He talked about Cavs Semi’s . Lebron made him NUTS.
LOwry cruising for another tech
Kyrie is just too clutch. Lets see if the Raptors respond. I guess another high pick n roll from the Raptors.
Curious why no TT??
Channing keeps the middle clear for drives and he can also knock down the three since no JR…

We still got alot of time on the clock
JOsh Cribbs in the house!!

WOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW
Awesome drive by Ky!

Surprised they let that dog pile wrestling go
Sloppy game from the players and refs
This are the type of games that I enjoy. Highly competitive. But to be honest if the Cavs play tough defense from the beginning the Raptors wouldn’t have a chance. IMO.
No matter how it ends… Cavs now have the record now for most games with 10+ threes to start the season…
FRYE BLOCK!
Ky fires back with his own triple!
Simply can’t allow Lowry to hit that shot at the buzzer…
Kyrie from DEEP in the Q!

Kyrie answers!
Good bucket from Kyrie…
Oh My God that Lowry!
Bron is an uncharacteristic -9 so far tonight…
Kyrie is so inconsistent. He has the chance to be special but can never seem to overcome the mental part of the game.
Missed rebound and bad transition play lead to back to back Ross treys…
I heard Raps pregame on NBA satellite . They want this game very bad!
Turnovers are killing us to say the least
Horrible transition play by LBJ that time…
So many of Shumps rim out
Man! Channing Frye!
Hot Frys!!!
I tell you what….. Sure miss JR’s defense
And his late game threes…
If Ky is going to miss the tech FT’s… might as well just have LBJ take them…
Raps are a tough team to extend the lead on…
Not a great possession…
Damn Lowry
He’s as tough as they come
I respect his game, no doubt.
My lord Channing Frye is awesome
LBJ behind the back to Channing for the floater…

Very nice!
Four Cavs starters in double figs…
DeRozan kept Toronto close with that last bucket at the buzzer… still it’s taken him 22 shots to get 23 points… maybe a little more Kobe than MJ tonight…
Cavs playing some great D on DeRozan… but taking too many threes to try and close Raps out… keep Raps in game…
TT got your back Mike!

LBJ gets a blow and Kyrie hits a tough turnaround…
LBJ with 23-8-8… in the third…
I think LeBron gets the triple double tonight….and the win
We gonna see Killer Shrimp in the 4th?
LBJ going OFF!
https://vine.co/v/5TKvXAjbAnK
And…. the heat check…
LBJ with the transition THREE!
https://vine.co/v/5TKvzaxVmIF
It’s annoying how the NBATV ads run too long and they miss parts of the game…
But even DeRozan can’t stop LeBron…
https://vine.co/v/5TKn6mqjPEV
Derozan is incredible
Good year to have him on fantasy…
TT erases JV!

RJ off the terrific pass from LBJ!
Not wigged out right there, EG… :)
Yeah… he must have read the thread in the timeout…
Maybe DeMar can only make mid-range shots…
Spoke too soon…
Can’t think of a more annoying possession than multiple missed threes…
Kyrie looking to make some good passes inside…
LBJ FOR THREE!!
Irving sloppy with the ball
Raps surprisingly poor on the FT shooting tonight…
TT needed to move his other foot…
LBJ certainly seems like he’s on his way to a Big O worthy triple double…
