Live Thread: Cavs @ Bucks
2016-12-20In what seems like a fluke in the schedule, the Cleveland Cavaliers will play home-and-home back-to-back in one week when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks the next two nights. Unlike their back-to-back last week against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Cavaliers will be the road team first, as they take on the Bucks tonight at 8:00 at the Bradley Center.
The Bucks come into tonight’s game as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, a bit surprising considering they have been without shooting guard Khris Middleton all season. Middleton, likely out for the year with a torn hamstring that required surgery to repair, is one of the best 3-and-D players in the league, and an underrated playmaker.
Of course, the Cavaliers shouldn’t be surprised by the Bucks at this point. After all, the Bucks are 1-0 against the champs this season, courtesy of a dominant 118-101 victory in Milwaukee on November 29th. That night Giannis Antetokounmpo was the the best player on the floor, posting 34 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, five steals, and two blocks in 35 minutes of action. Overall, the Cavs allowed the Bucks to shoot 53.5% from the floor as they had trouble dealing with Milwaukee’s superior length and athleticism.
With Kevin Love missing tonight’s game with a knee contusion, the Cavs will start Richard Jefferson in his place.. With Chris Andersen out for the season and love out for the evening, the Cavs are down to just two legitimate big men, and starting Jefferson means that they can keep Frye and Tristan Thompson apart in the rotation. Despite this, look for the Cavaliers to come out with solid energy from the opening tip. The Bucks had their way with the Cavaliers last month, and if there’s one thing this team has shown, it’s that they rise to the occasion whenever their pride is challenged.
Be sure to tune in to Fox Sports Ohio at 8:00 tonight to watch the Cavaliers and the Bucks, and be sure to stop by and share your thoughts here with the gang at Cavs: The Blog!
If anything, that should have been an offensive foul on Parker… BALL DON’T LIE
Let TT handle Parker.
Put James or TT vs Parker.
Holy Christ that was epic
Wow LBJ clutching it!!
Terrible shot. Great shot.

LeBron Raymone James.
I still can’t believe LeBron got beat on a dribble Drive by Tony Snell.
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!
Wow. Terrible foul from Giannis. Gotta let that go.
Dumb foul by The Alphabet…
I guess LBJ did okay defending Parker that time…
Missed a layup. Why don’t they look at that tap in?
That was some pretty blatant basket interference…
RJ! Fountain of youth!
Shump keeps letting the Bucks back him down easily.
I think he Cavs are doing fine considering they don’t put forth effort until after the ASB.
I do not get what the Cavs are doing (or not doing) defensively tonight.
That’s too many negatives…
Me either.
Lot of close/OT games in the League tonight…
Clutch from RJ.
Make all these RJ.

James failing to take Parker is telling to me.
Telling how?
Move the rock!
TT looked like he got held there…
Jumpers vs. to the hole.
I wonder if Kyrie will need another week off after this…
Let’s hope the Cavs can find a way to win this one. With all the minutes LeBron has played this back to back can turn into a 2 game losing streak easily.
So LBJ going for a 48 minute night?
Any update on JR’s thumb?
Haven’t seen anything on Twitter since ‘will not return tonight.’
Oh man… I thought the game would be over by the time I got home…
I mean with Gianni’s length anything is possible.
9 point lead late gone. Choke here.
Overtime i guess…
Milwaukee deserves to win. Ky thinks that is a good shot since he made the Shot.
If they are going one on one give to KY
That was horrible.
Stupid. Too easy. James on Delly is D malpractice from the staff. PF vs. Shump = mismatch. James should have had him. Weak sauce from Lue. Real weak.
Run offense. Ky takes the shot if iso.
That was weird.
Wtf were those defensive assignments?
Why is Ky out there?
No threes please
Dang. Frye had to rush that. One stop. James takes Parker here. I hope.
No threes!
Zero movement there. Poor.
Kyrie hasn’t had an assist since the first quarter, when he had 5. What changed?
Too much one on one but got to give credit to the bucks defense too.
Need a score to secure it.
Tony Snell be like…
Two. Game on. One more score.
Five.
Followed with a zero pass O. Still up 7.
Campy the 10th reindeer.
Hahahahaha
Good O there for a Kyrie 3!
The issue with James making those ridiculous 3s is that you know he’ll kill at least one more possession to take another.
Exactly.
Let’s close this out given the mins KI and James are playing
The Cavs have the bonus on their side and they are not looking to take advantage of that.
LeBron with onions on that shot. Haha. Airball answer from Giannis.

Hit those TT
I’ll take that call.
James finally off Delly & on a F.
Giannis is going to be an absolute monster.
Not that he isn’t already.
Jeez. Jeffers got hammered. Thank God for TT.
Movement improved. Passing with it.
Two. TT needed.
Dunleavy reenacting swan lake on that closeout.
Good recog there.
9 to 3. Quickly.
Great pass Shump! Finds Frye on the block for two!
James was at fault there. He pointed at himself.
Time for TT.
Done-leavy. Ugh.
