For a half, the Cavaliers realized their dreams of taking it to the Golden State Warriors and changing their regular MLK Day fate of seasons past. Unfortunately, those dreams went dark in a nightmarish fourth quarter that saw them miss 14 of their first 15 shots. In the end, the final score was decidedly closer than the previous two MLK Massacres, but the Cavs had a fourth straight loss (9th in the last 12 games) to show for their efforts. Yet, at least the effort was there for the most part, especially in the first three quarters. It’s just clear there’s a lot more rust to knock off of Isaiah Thomas… as well as more tinkering with the rotations for Tyronn Lue to do.
Speaking of Lue, Nate and EG jumped into their own lucid dream/recurring nightmare about how much of the current state of the Cavs is or isn’t Ty’s fault, how much longer he should be patrolling the sidelines, and whether or not he’s even the one in control of things. They also delve into interpretations of what the Cavs can do to improve, read the tea leaves on whether or not the team will make a trade and try to determine why January basketball in Cleveland has to be so nightmarish at times. The good news is that we both think things will ultimately get better…

Reading more on the Utah trade rumors…i think that would help the cavs. honestly we need a big who will grab 10-12 boards a game. i don’t think thats asking for much. and i say this in addition to what Love does on game to game basis. Hood shoots really well from 3 and has length which is always beneficial. if this ends up going through, he will have a lot of open looks which should improve his numbers. I don’t know much about Dedmon, but will defer to Nate Smith who claims he’s solid. Bazemore seems okay but not… Read more »
No trades will help the team to beat gs as long as lue is coach . Lemme explain- we have the players now that’s enough to win every team besides for gs , as we saw by big win streak —-because lue was forced to only play effective players and not the useless ones due to injuries, he is a horrid coach and it’s mindboggling that he has one of the highest profile jobs in sports. There’s no reason we can’t be 2nd best team in the league now without any trades it’s because no matter who u have on… Read more »
And btw with right rotations we would be top 3 offense in the league , that in turn would prob make us in the middle on defense , and btw we better defensive potential than last year , jea is great on Durant , isiah I think is same idea as Kyrie, and Cedi is really solid , wade when played right amount is also really good all around defense
It’s time to get Fizdale. Lue is wasting the potential of Cedi. Fiz will not hesitate to utilize some options left in the team
Nets just two in the loss column out of last place now…
