Live Thread: Cavs vs. Heat (#GrinAndParrot)

Welcome to the new year, Cavs fans! Let’s hope 2019 brings some more consistent play, since the 2018 portion of the schedule was for the birds. Speaking of puns about feathered friends, the team welcomes former Dub, Patrick McCaw to a new roost in time to take on the (hopefully less hot pink clad) Miami Heat to kick off a four game home stand.
The 6’7 guard might not do a whole lot for the offense, but he should at least provide another decent perimeter defender on a team desperate for them (especially with David Nwaba out). McCaw isn’t the only smiling face that might swoop through the Q tonight… The dynamite grin (and offensive board work) of Tristan Thompson will also be available for the first time in about a month. Also, Rodney Hood is expected to play after missing a week or two.
So yeah, the Cavs are starting to get their flock back… with even Kevin Love waiting in the wings for an upcoming return. Question is, will they take flight into the new year… or will they continue their dive bomb run towards a Duke trio summer?
Prediction: McCaw helps the Cavs go all Tippi Hedren on the Heat, clawing them 104-93 for a little revenge from last week.

That was a pretty pathetic defensive effort. I was only half watching the second half, but hard to understand what they were trying to do.
Granted Love isn’t playing, but I thought we’d be better than this. No passion, no effort. LNJ sitting on the bench when he’s been the onky bright spot on this team in weeks. This whole organization has become Charlie Browns Christmas tree.
Our coach sucks.

You all are a minute or two ahead of my feed. LNJ a lot of dumb fouls. The guy has to be frustrated, he’s been the best player for the Cavs since TT went down. He’s earned a starting spot.
