Live Thread: Cavs @ Pelicans

After getting throttled by 35 Friday, Cleveland faces Anthony Davis’ Pelicans again, this time in frosty confines of the Smoothie King center. Let’s hope Cleveland puts up a better fight, but without Larry Nance, that could be tough. Look Ante Zizic and Jalen Jones to get some time against the Brow tonight, and Tristan Thompson to try like hell to stay out of foul trouble.

Hopefully the road trip will do these Cavs some good. I certainly think getting out of town in January is a recipe for team-building, and getting away from the negative echo chamber surrounding this squad can’t hurt.

On the injury front, Cleveland is down Nance, Nwaba, Love, and Henson. For New Orleans, Nikola Mirotic will be a game time decision as he attempts to return from an ankle injury, and the Pels will be without Cavs’ killer, E’Twaun Moore. I do believe we’ll see Delly play his first back-to-back for Cleveland. This team’s a terrible matchup for the Cavs, but let’s hope Cleveland has enough moxie to hang with them, and play with the same energy they did last night at the Q.
