Live Thread: Cavs @ Spurs 2021-04-05 Off By Nate Smith Well, crap. I had the time on this game totally wrong. No Nance or Allen but the Cavs are leading at the half! Live Thread: Cavs @ Heat Recap: Cavs 125, Spurs 101 (or, Darius Detonates)
WAS GOING TO BRING UP THE SAME ( KPJ –WAS SOMEWHAT HESITANT –KOBY MIGHT TRADE ME )—WOULD REALLY LIKE TO GET –( IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN ) THE PLAYERS PERSPECTIVE // OPINION OF THE KPJ// KOBY INCIDENT ——REALIZE HE HAD ALOT OF “BAGGAGE –MADE SOME BAD DECISIONS ” BUT STILL THINK THEY GAVE UP TOO SOON ON HIM
Maybe. But there must be a reason why no team would give the Cavs ANYTHING for him.
yup, I’d love to Love’s perspective actually LMFAOOO and McGee while he was here since they were both NBA champions.
KPJ has been ballin’ in Houston. Man.
Someone convince me we did not totally blow that.
Koby loves pissing off the most talented players on the team!!! LMFAOOO
we did blow it because we have immature management who couldnt handle an immature kid and didn’t just put him through G-league or have the vets at the time work with him and guide along with development. its weird how hes had little to no issues with Rockets and its been a couple of months. The rockets arent a great team might be worse than the Cavs but there’s no issues and its easy to find any issues these days via social media….biggest mistake by koby other than giving Love a ridic contract
If any team deserves to drop like a stone in the upcoming lottery, it’s the Twolves. You keep getting high lottery picks and you stink this badly, you deserve nothing good.
We got three number 1s in four years and we still were one of the absolute worst teams in the league. If lebron hadn’t come back we would have continued to be one of the worst and obviously would be so incredibly far from a ship.
So I can’t say Wolves deserve to suck. Because we deserved to suck.
They both deserved top suck.
funny that we have an owner willing to spend, so it’s just straight up basketball incompetence LMFAOOOOO
Two of these #1 were pretty good, although both are problematical (head case, goof off). The “GumDrop Bear” rather than Victor Oladipo? Remind me of who made that historic pick. Was that Danny Ferry? Or, the other DG? Anyone know where the GDB is now? Maybe the Aruba “B” league?
Believe Gum drop was Chris Grant. Decent at asset stockpiling. Terrible at everything else.
agree
really believe we got at least 2 1s to get Lebron back in 4 years…think the Bennett 1 pick was a surprise and Cavs botched it badly….those 4 years were all part on getting Lebron back
Just watched DG’s post game, loved how he paid proper respect to Love and his game… he knows what’s up!!!
Isaiah Thomas says he’s ‘102%’ after his hip surgery, so it’s probably safe for Nate and EG to buy their IT jerseys now.
Hartenstein scouting report, small sample size though (only played 363 minutes this year). Pros: Elite rim protector (7.3% block rate, top 15 in the NBA) Excellent rebounder, especially on the offensive side (top 20 in the NBA in O-Rebound rate @ 14%) Above average assist ratio (23.4), only behind Delly and Garland on the team. Cons: average scorer, below average finisher around the rim (57% FG% at the rim, bottom third in the NBA) higher than average turnover rate (15%, bottom quartile of the NBA). Bottom line: Legit NBA defender, needs to improve on the offensive side… intriguing upside, Cavs… Read more »
Great passer for a big if last night is any example.
yup absolutely… I don’t expect him to sustain such an insanely good assist ratio, but if he can keep it above league average, wow!!!
Agreed. If Hartenstein improves a few aspects of his game, he and Allen are almost ideal. For a throw in, I really like this pickup.
yup, I love McGee, but Hartenstein’s current play plus upside made this a no-brainer move.
What will be interesting to see is what kind of deal he and the Cavs can work out, looks like he has a player option next year that I’d have to believe he’d decline, but I don’t know enough about the market and cap management to know if he’d really decline it and what would come of it after that.
about time Garland stepped up and took charge…we can see the potential…now its a matter of how consistent can this get. I’ve said before if Garland had Sexton’s energy and toughness he could easily average 25-30/game…Sexton is just relentless to get his 20-25/game, Garland before would pick and choose spots and just refuse to shoot outside shots and take difficult layups. Annoying to say the least. Also this Cavs team needs to fight for the playoffs, enough of the intentional losing crap, gotta build somewhere and develop properly..the Spurs arent as good anymore but losing by 25 bad?! Nah Cavs… Read more »
I like Garland quite a bit, but if he really wants to become a really good NBA player, he needs to get to the line a lot more, and he needs to shoot a lot more threes. Agree in general, it’d help if he were a little more like Sexton as far as aggression.
hard to disagree with DG’s lack of scoring aggression. I’ve been beating the drum for DG to take 20 shots a game, 10 3s a game, which is exactly what he did against the Spurs.
I think the problem is that since Sexton sucks at passing, DG feels the burden to get others involved in the offense. Could be resolved by… well, ya know… LMFAOOOOOO
