Evening Cavs fans. Cavs down in Orlando to rematch with the Magic tonight. Jonathan Isaac will play while Jalen Suggs is a gametime decision for them. Wendell Carter Jr. And Markelle Fultz are out. For Cleveland, no Evan Mobley, Caris LeVert, or Ty Jerome. Go Cavs!
LT up
THINK WE SHOULD USE TONIGHT S GAME AS A “ REST “ GAME———- THE MRS NOMAD USES THE “ REST “ GAME EVERY NIGHT 🤪🥲
Cavs 11.5 point underdogs tonight.
No Mobley.
Fire JB.
We are going to lose in excess of thirty games this year. Based on history, after every one the forum gonna be mad at some shit with marginal impact because of weird motivated reasoning (our sniper Max missed EIGHT threes and JA was butt but the real reason is DM blew a layup or two, and CPJ didn’t give a spark or whatever). Players are gonna have sucky performances. Our best players have what they need to succeed, sometimes the ball does drop or you have a brain fart like JA on pump fakes last night. Basketball more blackjack than… Read more »
there you go again, using reality and common sense.
Does NOT drop, my b
You’ve moved on to arguing yourself I see.
Misery is a choice.
Being a fan and not a (bad, innumerate, panicky) critic is a choice.
Consider your own choices.
Framing is a choice.
This game was what the Miami game would have been if CPJ hadn’t played. I can’t even blame Bickerstaff because he said a couple weeks ago “Porter has earned minutes no matter who is healthy.” So I think the games he doesn’t play is because of the front office, since Porter is still on a 2-way contract and can only suit up (or play) in 50 games. It’s ridiculous. We have an empty roster spot, and we’re completely wasting two on Rubio and Jones. Also, you’re not going to win many games when Tristan Thompson is your second best player.… Read more »
That’s a good point about the 2-way contract. I didn’t even think of that.
me neither. this is how NBA redshirting works.
a huge amount of wiggling around roster rules is required to compete effectively. Like the Browns naming Flacco as the starting QB for the rest of the year, and then demoting him to the practice squad. Like the Guardians maxed out with first basemen, and claiming a rule 5 first baseman.
HOPE I AM WRONG/ AGREE WITH MR STEAL/ WE COULD POSSIBLY GET “ BOAT RACED” TWICE BY THE CELTS ——-NO NEED TO PANIC—YET………. BUT WE ALSO HAVE TO REALIZE- TEAMS THAT WE DIDNT CONSIDER PLAYOFF COMPETITION—PACERS: / MAGIC/ NETS /-ARE—- THEY ARE IMPROVED AND ARENT GOING ANYWHERE——NOT ANY “ GIMME ‘ S “ / SEE BLAZERS GAME/— NEED TO BE READY TO COMPETE EVERY GAME AND JB NEEDS TO UTILIZE HIS BENCH / SEE CPJ
I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED/ SUPPORTED ICE BUT HE IS WHO HE IS AS A PLAYER——- CAVS SHOULD OFFER “ LOW “ —- STILL GOOD TO HAVE ON BACK END OF THE BENCH/POSSIBLY TRADE MATERIAL/ HIS AGENTS WOULD BE WISE TO JUMP ON THE OFFER—- MR STEAL EDUCATE ME / US IF WRONG
Like Cedi, and many before him, we all wanted it to happen for the nice “team” guy. It’s not working out.
how is Cedi doing this year?
Pretty much the same.
right. Ice is who he is, and won’t be getting a big contract. the only way he will be here next year is on a lowball contract. I like him a lot better than St. Wierdo — at least he tries.
when are we allowed to use the “B” word for okoro ?
you want to call Okoro “buck”?
I WILL DRINK THAT MR STEAL——- STILL PERPLEXED—( AS MANY HERE AT CTB WAS ) NO SHOW FOR CPJ ——-ALL HE DOES WHEN HE PLAYS IS GIVE THE CAVS ENERGY AND NORMALLY LEAD US IN THE + COLUMN —— IS REWARDED WITH BENCH TIME 🤬
I liked Merrill more in this matchup against a paint packing team. Also thought we had great energy tbh. Just kind of a bummer, but we shouldn’t fear Orlando or freak out if Boston boat races is twice.
I wanted some CPJ time but I don’t think it makes a difference in the short (we lose either way with Allen / the shooting being rough), medium (CPJ is getting a real contract but he’s still gonna have inconsistent minutes) or long run (CPJ not getting run in the playoffs) so I don’t sweat it.
So your thesis is CPJ not getting minutes does not matter. OK.
I just don’t think it makes a big difference. I don’t think it’s why we win or lose generally and it wasn’t why we lost against Orlando or beat the Heat.
same
Coming back from 19 down without our bigs >>>>
Taking the moral victory here and on to Boston
