Live Thread: Cavs @ Sixers (#Loaded)
2019-11-12The Cavaliers get their first taste of a re-loaded Philly team tonight in the City of Brotherly Love. They’ll get a second serving at home on Sunday, sandwiched around a tilt with the Heat on Thursday. It’ll be a tall task to notch their third straight victory on the road after double-digit wins over likely lottery teams, though it might be a little less tall with Ben Simmons listed as questionable for a third straight game with a sprained right shoulder, and Al Horford being rested.
Still, with Joel Embiid dishing up his rare combination of cheese and beef, it could get messy in the middle for the Cavs. Tristan Thompson, Kevin Love and Larry Nance, Jr. will have their hands full. As such, the game will likely only swing in favor of the wine & gold if their young shooters can feast from the outside. If Collin Sexton can continue his hot streak, and Darius Garland, Cedi Osman and Jordan Clarkson can provide enough support, the Cavs might just be able to polish off Philly without too much heartburn.
Prediction: The Cavs load up on carbs and take a thinly sliced victory to go… 111-108.

I just have to say that sequence by TT at 97-92 was mind-numbingly stupid/bad.
Open guard the whole time. Instead he takes forever to get over halfcourt with his dribble routine & launches a 30 footer with 4 on the clock.

They couldn’t challenge the call, they had no timeouts… also not even sure they’re allowed to challenge inside two minutes.

The Cavs also should have had the ball side out with one second left but it was never reviewed…Embiid was touching the ball with his body out of bounds with 1 sec on the clock…

Really would’ve liked to see them try to get something closer to the rim down 1 …it was a wide open three but still they had time to get something inside

Great look. Just missed. Terrible clock management on offense from about about 3-4 minutes left. Waiting far too long to get into a set in a five point game, then a 3 point game, then a 1 point game. Just run a normal offense.
Typical NBA ref job there at the end. Still had a clean look to win it.
Shot clock thing irks me.
Love missing the layup with like 1:30 left and then the final shot. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Ive always pulled for Love but the guy just has a way of not coming through when it matters. He gets the yips.
