Live Thread: Cavs @ Pistons
2015-01-27Detroit drubbed the good guys 103-80 the 28th of December, and tonight Cleveland seeks revenge. Lots has happened for both teams since. Brandon Jennings was lost for the season to an achilles injury last week, and D.J. Augustin started in his stead on Sunday. He scored 35 in 37 minutes against the Raptors, with 77% True Shooting. So shutting him down is a priority. Detroit features balanced scoring (five guys average double features), a dynamic duo of Monroe and Drummond in the middle, glue guy Kyle Singler, and solid coaching from Stan Van Gundy. Hopefully, the Cavs are revenge minded and can shut down the Pistons in the Motor City. Go Cavs!
Wow! This Golden State/Bulls game is unbelievable! Going to OT
Kyrie vs Lillard tomorrow night, what a treat.
Great game all!!! Awesome to see the Cavs win in different ways, with a tough, physical game tonight, after a game where they had to beat a offensive-minded Thunder. Bodes well for the playoffs!
Tough night for JR. The gym was cold for everyone but Kyrie. Presumably something was up with Moz that kept him off the court.
Yeah we knew there would be nights like this but glad it didn’t = loss.
Campy just showed a stat at how tough Kyrie’s D has been lately. Many opposing guards shooting 20 – 30%. Top names, too.
I love the positive attention he is getting, hopefully firing him up more! Most improved
A couple of threads ago I asked whether an All Star MVP could win the league’s Most Improved Player?
I like the fact we are even asking it? Nice problem to have when your all star is going beyond! Don’t know the answer tho!
I saw Moz get hit in the throat. Or maybe Blatt is saving him for Portland
Dante Exum, 4th pick in the draft, started for Utah tonight (against Boston). He played 25 minutes and had 0 points. -24 +/-
Yeah, I thought he was one of the 4-5 can’t miss guys in this draft, but man, does he look out of his depth. Think it’s gonna take a couple years, and the D-LEague might help. Actually, he’s a poster boy for foreign guys who should go to college in the U.S. Would have helped him immensely.
Getting a win when most of the team shot so poorly is such a good sign. It is nice when our defense can pull us through slump and kyrie going off sure helps too. Go Cavs!
Only two players in double figures.
And they scored 70 of a possible 103 points…
It’s all about trust.
It’s weird that Moz didn’t play more, especially against the big front line of Detroit. He didn’t have any fouls. I know he had some rough shooting early, but he came on at the start of second half when Cavs fed him the ball…
I know, right? Hopefully not injury related.
I think we would have heard. Might have just been a bad matchup and Blatt wanting to go small
Yeah, we let him post because he’s fun.
And because he’s the ultimate positive charge. Nothing fazes him… even the facts ;)
Except when it comes to Delly!!! Talk about irony?!
He’s the ultimate positive charge? Are you calling him a proton? Cols . . . aka Professor Proton!
