2010-02-10-LeBron, Wade, and Kobe are all on board for the 2010 World Championships team this summer. LeBron’s going to have a busy summer.
-Water fountains should be returning to the Q.
-Brian Windhorst with a new podcast, focusing on trades. Of note is that the Cavs will not move Hickson for Troy Murphy, Al Harrington may be someone to keep an eye on, and the Wizards don’t seem to want to slash payroll.
-Alone In The Green Room has a look at underrated individual skills of NBA players. LeBron’s skip passes to three-point shooters are included.
-Michael Lee of the Washington Post says that Jamison will stay “Barring some mindblowing deal.”
-Windhorst also says that the Cavs are very reluctant to move Hickson in a deal.
Fans need to realize you can’t just “get” a player because you want him. There is another team involved and Philly has no reason to trade Iggy unless someone really blows them away with an offer…and quite frankly the Cavs don’t have the personnel to do that. Again, that is what makes the Jamison thing more realistic in the end. THey aren’t in a position of power nor is Jamison a young guy they can rebuild around. They will be right near the cap and that is if they resign no one…which would leave them 8 open roster spots. So,… Read more »
If Powe is healthy then JJ’s time is going way down. IF Powe is healthy we should get Iggy from the 76’s. Backcourt of Mo and Iggy with West coming off the bench is a huge upgrade even though Parker’s been solid. So IS Powe healthy? No one says anything I get to hear!! C’mon give, is Powe healthy?
Yeah Harrington is awful, I can’t believe the Cavs would target him or that Windhorst didn’t blow that one up. And yeah, kj, Al was there when Mike Brown was there. Luckily, it looks like Harrington to the Wizards is a strong possibility.
Wow, I was shocked to hear Windy mention Harrington. Not someone I like at all but wasn’t he atIndy when Mike Brown was an assistant there? Maybe that’s why he’s on the Cavs’ radar.
No way to Al Harrington … at least Murphy can rebound and hit 3s. I’m pretty ambivalent about trades right now, especially since the PF names being mentioned are all pretty porous defensively (then again, so is JJ). It all depends on what we have to give up. I like JJ’s potential, but I just don’t know if he fits well with Brown’s offensive or defensive schemes. Plus, even if the basketball gods were to smile on us and give us Jamison for Z or Wally’s contract, when would JJ get any meaningful minutes with Jamison (or Murphy, etc.), AV,… Read more »
Now what is funny here is Ferry will get killed if he doesn’t make a move. HOwever, trading Hickson and w/e else for Troy Murphy is utterly insane and shouldn’t even be thought of. Jamison…maybe. Either way, I’m still betting Jamison gets moved even if the wiz don’t get a mind blowing deal. It’s all just posturing at this point and the Wiz are in some sad shape financially and really need to move Jamison for the future of that franchise. NOt moving him would be a disaster and saddle that team for years and years to come. They’ll end… Read more »
