Live Thread: Wizards vs Cavaliers
2014-11-26Only five days after getting crushed in our nation’s capitol, the Cleveland Cavaliers have an opportunity to exact revenge on a very balanced Wizards squad. The Cavs were held to 36% shooting in the first meeting. Kevin Love had a game to forget notching a mere eight points while committing four turnovers. The Wizards have a beautiful blend of youth and veteran savvy. Professor Andre Miller and Paul Pierce provide fantastic leadership to the explosive Washington backcourt(we won’t get into superlatives with Dion in earshot).
Washington comes off a tough loss to the Hawks at home. They will again be without the services of their Brazilian bigman, Nene. The Cavaliers pulled themselves out of the miserable four game losing streak by thumping the Orlando Magic. Will the Cavs avenge last weeks’ loss? Fire away.
Kyrie and Co holding John Wall to six points. Now this is the Kyrie I’ve been waiting for!!!
This was some of the best defense I’ve seen the Cavs play in a long long time. They played with intensity all game. I think they’re figuring it out and developing a little chemistry as well.
kyrie really buying in on the defensive end—-joy to watch acceping the challenge and lock down on the “D”—-DION ” CLOCKWORK ORANGE ” ( this comment has a universal ring to it ) has to realize how valuable he can be to this team if he consistently plays within the team structure and game plan—–patience is the word with him right now ( I have been one of them promoting him as trade bait ) but let’s try to give him time and hopefully he figures it out —–to much talent to trade and not get full value in return—-… Read more »
Dion drove me nuts at the end of that game. At one point he took four straight shots and netted one free throw out of them. Chucking up 17 footers with 17 left on the shot clock with a double digit fourth quarter lead is DUMB. Check out his fourth quarter shot chart. Yuck. Other than that, fantastic game.
Only 2 fast break points for Washington. Great number.
Oh big time. Cavs got revenge. Now I feel bad dogging them yesterday in the 5 on 5 and on the radio today
Why? They’d been playing like crap.
Nice game. Good defensive intensity for long stretches. LeBron looks a little bit livelier each time out.
Waiters is not a crafty finisher, but he can draw fouls if he keeps attacking. I’m pleased with his effort. And he didn’t pout when Blatt tore into him.
I’ll give Waiters a few dumb long twos if I get this defense and those drives (just has to finish a few more of them, but that will come I think).
Should be up 20+…some really poor shooting the last 3 mins of qutr
You are absolutely right Kevin. No need for a super shot bloker when you prevent penetration this well
Wizards starting to “earn” a lot of touch fouls…
Guard defense tonight has been stellar. Really can’t ask for anything more.
2:50 left in 3rd, first epic defensive miss by Thompson. Waiters can make a huge niche for himself if he can help c vas finish qutrs
Lol that was a big misunderstanding. They better not call anything
Pierce drives me friggin nuts! He is like a smaller tim Duncan. Gets alllll calls, slow as syrup, makes the dumbest looking shots consistently…just got Another bailout! He is General Motors right now!
Lol – great comment
agree with scotch we make bench players look like all stars —-lack of focus because he is not a starter ?—-was nice to see LeBron finally elevate ——–we should be up by at least 16—need to work on finishing qtrs.—start of the 3rd is going to be huge need same start as start of the game —-GO CAVS
Waiters has to work on that corner 3. Those will be there all year…that”ll be a big part of whether or not he gets playing time
Woof! Lebron just rose up for the first time this season. Beast mode
Guards are all playing annoying sticky defense. Only once have we failed to close out on a three point shooter and Wall buried it. Btw what’s with random players going off on the cavs? Butler is all of a sudden. Amazing?
Hey! Waiters followed Beal around picks and everything! Only one possession, but it looked like reasonable off-ball defense! What a thing!
