Live Thread: Cavs Vs. Pistons
2014-12-28Cavs take on the now-Josh-Smith-less Pistons this afternoon, and it’s clear the Pistons are in full on rebuilding mode. The key to beating the Pistons: knock them out early to break their will. Not to jinx anything, but some fourth quarter rest for the starters would be a blessing. That might be a tall order without Kyrie for the second straight game. I’ll be happy with a malady-free win.
darn I was hoping to get black
underdog i was not implying that he was going to get fired —just saying if that was the scenario Jackson would be begging to coach LeBron—-concerned somewhat of the construction of this team—-don’t have a rim protector or a big to match up against bigger/ athletic posts—don’t have the quickness at the gd position to stop dribble penetration—-everyone thought we could just outscore everyone but when the offense isn’t clicking it puts more pressure/ burden on the defense to get stops which we can’t do
Many Cavs fans were fully aware that the season’s success was dependent upon remaining healthy – which was highly unlikely. Over time the young players Irving, Tristan, and Dion have made significant strides forward – especially on defense. Love looks like he still needs to find his place but still has 20 pts / 10 reb. When any team shoots 17% from 3 and the opponent makes 17 threes they’re going to lose big. Sometimes you feel like a nut . . . sometimes you don’t. It happens in the NBA. Atlanta lost by 30 two nights ago. Cavs should… Read more »
Exactly on the 3P%. It seem like they have been on the decline at the 3 so I did some digging on NBA stats. Cavs are 23rd overall in the NBA at 3P% at a 34.7%3P%. Individual 3P% Kyrie is 37.4%, Lebron at 36.9%, Love at 33.8%. Delly, Dion, Miller and Love’s 3 point shot has dropped significantly from a year ago. Kyrie is the only one that has actually improved on his 3 pointer. What’s going on at practice that this has continued to plummet?
