Monday is Cavaliers Media Day! Sadly, none of us will be there to cover it, but Ben Werth, David Wood, and I decided to ask some tough questions anyway. On our diamond jubilee podcast, we talk media day, the training camp battles, and the Tristan Thompson situation. Ben professes his disdain for the Bulls. David and I doubt the Thunder. And we all pick our rookies of the year. Join us for all this and lots more.
We can heard above, on SoundCloud, or on iTunes.
Agree with sentiments on OKC, but I did not realize how bad a defender Kanter was last year. I think Westbrook is going down a Derrick Rose path. He’s not a good shooter and once he loses his “Boulder Crashing” style of play he will need to have other elite skills to rely on. I heard the other day that if Durant leaves OKC next summer his top two destinations are Washington and Miami. I hope he stays in OKC, but if he does leave I really hope he has nothing to do with Miami. Speaking of Miami, I think… Read more »
Just had a chance to listen. Love all of you guys, but it’s always awesome to hear Ben. He always has such astute thoughts on things. And I loved the ‘ambi nut tugger’ line.
Brilliant use of culture by the Bucks…
Was highly disappointed no one chuckled either time that Nate said he was “bullish on Chicago”.
Nate is bullish… Cols says bulls#*%….
I’m surprised at the level of optimism for Mr. Andy V. The guy was pretty bad last year before he had his yearly season ending injury and achilles injuries for old guys can easily be career enders.
I’d be surprised if he plays much this year and I’ll be blown away if he is actually effective when he plays.
Cols watching Andy be effective this year…
What is this commercial for?
Maxell audio tapes…

Obviously cols didn’t live through the ’80s.
Sigh. The Bulls?! Really Nate?!
The other guys had it correct. There are zero teams in the East that are remotely capable of beating the Cavs. Although the Heat will be good we are way way way better.
What a fun podcast it would be if we all agreed on everything.
Haha. The preview for the East is so easy. We can write in permanent marker the Cavs into the Finals. The question is who will we beat?
New music pitch… awesome new CHVRCHES album is out…
Yes! I’ve been waiting for this one. Their debut album was fantastic.
This one is even better IMHO…
The only thing I disagree with is the Porzingis love… I am not on that train…
He sucks. What a waste of a pick.
I’m doubling down. Changing my pick for rookie of the year. It’s going to be Porzingis. Might even be an all-star.
Now I know you’re just trolling… LOL
Nothing good EVER happens in New York…
And this is why that prediction will never happen…
Don’t think he will play enough to win RoY, and probably won’t be good enough. I do think he will be very good three years from now.
No surprise that TT won’t be at Media Day, but Chris Haynes indicates that Cavs would potentially increase their offer…

Good pod guys! Can’t wait for the season.
Guess what day it is? MEDIA DAY!
Excellent podcast fellas!
Thanks. Ben’s “ambi-tugger” was my favorite part.
Agree! I thought he was going to go with that what separates Reggie Evans from TT was his man-beard…
Looks like IE works.
If you Google on WordPress, Cookies, and JavaScript, you will see millions of entries on this issue. It appears to happen all the time. Glancing through the hits, it appears that the problem is usually on the host end.
If the current set up allows IE users to submit, but blocks Chrome users, you will discover the difference between people who use IE and those who use Chrome.
I am trying to see if I can post by using the lame end run of IE rather than Chrome.
I’ve got the Jazz being a playoff team too. Really like their core of Favors, Haywood and Gobert.
