Live Thread: Cavs vs. Pacers (Pre-season)

For tonight’s feature entertainment, the Cavs host Paul George (now PG-13) and the Indiana Pacers at the Q in the third to last (holy moly… when will the preseason end?!) exhibition game. So far, the guys in Wine & Gold (and sometimes blue) have been mildly entertaining, but have little to show for their effort in the preseason. They’d currently be coming in “rotten” on the Tomato-mometer at 0-4, as they experience a general lack of star power due to injury, rest or holdout. LeBron will sit this one out, lowering the marquee value for the Cavs, however, J.R. Smith will return from his sore hammy to help spike the ratings a bit (or at least shade them more towards an “R”).
The probable starting lineups will be: Mo Williams, J.R. Smith, Richard Jefferson, Anderson Varejao and Timofey Mozgov for the Cavs; and George Hill, Monta Ellis, Chase Budinger, Paul George and Ian Mahinmi for the Pacers. Tip off is at 7 pm (EST), and you can catch all the action on Fox Sports Ohio and 1100 WTAM.
Get your popcorn ready… and GO CAVS!

Sorry I had to drop off for the second half. Work sometimes gets in the way (although it doesn’t look like I missed much… other than Much Danger Ninja becoming a full-on point guard!)
Got to say, he’s winning me over after some real doubts. The eight assists and continued ability to get to the line are nice.
I second that… only bench Cav who can get to the hole consistently. Decent vision. Has a fine shooting stroke, just needs confidence… no reason why he can’t shoot 40% from 3.
40% is pretty high considering he has never shot 35% in the NBA or D-League. Still, his motor has been really great.
True… I said that with the understanding he’d get a lot of open looks on this team and his shooting stroke looks good. Gotta aim high HAHA!
That being said… still would’ve preferred Mighty Joe HAHA!
