Hopped in studio with my friend Mark Neal and previewed the Cavs 2015-2016 season. We talked about Tristan Thompson’s holdout, injury concerns, how Richard Jefferson and Mo Williams are an upgrade for the Cavs bench, and we took a look around the association at the teams the Cavs may have to go through to bring home the hardware.
AGREE WITH YOU EVIL ( WISH I WASN’T ) BELIEVE THE BUCKEYES MIGHT HAVE PEAKED AT THE RIGHT TIME LAST YEAR / MIGHT HAVE BEEN SOMEWHAT OVER RATED THIS YEAR —-IT HURTS LIKE HELL TO SAY THAT !!
Not to worry. They are hiding Joey Burrows for this year’s stretch run. Burrows rarely saw a third down in four years. Can someone get the stats on that?
Im still holding faith that we will again peak at the right time. Saw a lot of good things tonight. Im still on the JTforQB train though
JT Barrett saving the day…
Cardale, JT, Braxton, and then Zeek finishes it off. What a drive.
For anyone who watches college football, just saw one of the most devastating losses on the final for Jim Harbaugh and the wolverines. I can’t recall anything like this.
And the player who scored for Michigan St. apparently broke his hip on the play. Talk about epic.
It was a dislocation, not a break apparently…
Still… LOL at Michigan fan…
App State, and now this, ahhh the good life.
meanwhile, Cardale can’t orchestrate a first down….
Cardale looks horrible…
“the punter is best best executor on the Ohio State team by far” -Fowler
Well, hard to argue…
They certainly don’t resemble the best team in the country…
They aren’t tackling very well this season.
Cardale definitely looks off today.
JT would have won the Heisman if he was the start from day one.
Really enjoyed this Tom. Good point on how the Cavs don’t have many elite level athletes. This is another thing working in Cunningham’s favor.
I would like to talk Cavs on the radio.
Well next time I’m on you should call in.
Don’t say “suck” too much, or you will get Tom yanked from the airwaves!
WE’VE BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD BEFORE ( LAST YEAR ) AND WE ALL WERE GUILTY OF ” EARLY PANIC MODE SYNDROME ” —IF THERE IS ONE THING WE SHOULD HAVE LEARNED FROM LAST YEAR IS ” RELAX ” —-WE WILL GO ” BOWLING” AGAIN COME JANUARY AND ALL WILL BE FINE ——EVEN WITH ALL THE INJURIES ( AND DRAME /T.T.) STILL FEEL OUR BENCH STRENGTH WILL KEEP US AT A COMPETITIVE LEVEL UNTIL ALL IS HEALTHY —BELIEVE IN THE LAND !!!
Awesome, and informative chat.
Good stuff from Pluto on Cavs today…
I’m not in on all this doomsaying that is going on right now. ESPN is the worst but I’m already seeing stuff about them not being anywhere near the best team in the East. I know, I know. We ARE hurt right now. But I’m with Tom, we can skirt by until December on one leg and not even worry! Bah humbug to TT. Something about waiting around waiting for one of your teammates to get hurt really irks me. Count me in the “not worried” category.
I don’t find Pluto to be particularly doomsaying in this piece… just realistic in terms of how things might go until the Cavs get healthy. I still don’t expect them to be under .500 like they were last early January… but they could struggle a bit just the same. I’m also not worried, given how they showed how devastating they can be at full strength in the second half of the season…
Nope. They have LeBron and mo and Kevin creaking love. They will be just fine.
Struggle a bit is not the same as fail to be .500 or better… I’m not worried either, but I’m not going to worry if things wind up being a little rocky until the starting backcourt returns… that’s all…
Not a center is he? I am seeing 6’9.
He’s a 6’9″ PF…
Great convo per usual TP! Really enjoy these chats with Mark…
Glad you hit on Cunningham… Much Danger Ninja!!
Thanks EG – hopefully I will be in regularly again this season.
