Live Thread: Cavs @ Grizzlies

After a tough, close loss to the Bulls in the season opener, the Cavs get a quick turnaround trip to The Grindhouse in Memphis tonight. While a back-to-back against another gritty playoff team might not be exactly what the doctor ordered, it does at least provide an opportunity for the Cavs to try and square up their record and put the loss in Chicago quickly in the rearview. Questions about minute restrictions will likely be answered early on in this one, as we wait to see how much LeBron, KLove and Moz wind up playing in the second game in two nights.
For now, the probable starting lineup is listed as: Mo Williams, J.R. Smith, LeBron James, Kevin Love and Timofey Mozgov for the Cavs; which the Grizzlies will counter with Mike Conley Jr., Courtney Lee, Jeff Green, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol.
Memphis, in their opening night, should prove a difficult challenge for the still rounding into shape Cavs squad. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them still looking for their first win in the home opener against the Heat on Friday night. Prediction: Grizz 101, Cavs 96.

Terrific game. The guys move and share the ball all the time. No one had a bad game, Delly, RJ, and KLove had excellent games. Credit to JR for dishing out 7 assists. Beautiful!
