Nope. It wasn’t all a dream. Or if it is, we don’t ever want to wake up. The Cavs are Champions, and to celebrate, EG, Tom, and Nate took the Brownsmobile up to the Tribe game Saturday and followed it up with a podcast Monday night after a month’s long hiatus. (We had some joyous reflection to do.)
In our conversations, we dared to ponder what life would be like if our dream hadn’t come true, and the Cavs had lost. The world would seem measurably different now. Do you still pinch yourself? In that vein we also asked: who were the biggest winners and losers out of the Finals? Is LeBron the greatest player since Jordan? What will the regular season be like?
Can anyone in the East challenge Cleveland? Lest you think we were too serious or haven’t been paying attention, we had fun naming the best and worst contracts of free agency, talked about the J.R. Smith situation, and reflected on Summer League. What a time to be alive.
As always we can be found on soundcloud, itunes, or above.
Nice Browns mobile thanks for the midsummer podcast
“Think about this: We were one minute away from, ‘Griffin’s a moron for trading Andrew Wiggins, and Kevin Love got lost in the Finals, and they spent the most money ever on a team that didn’t win, and they have to blow everything up.’ But LeBron blocks a shot, so instead it’s the greatest success in Cleveland sports, the first time in history coming back from 3–1 down, and the first time in forever winning a Finals Game 7 on the road. Our lives are all so different for those few milliseconds of time. That’s awesome. It’s also insane.” A… Read more »
That is why LeBron is the GOAT!
I think it took all of 10 minutes for Biyambo’s name to come up. #justsayin #bromance

Some fun stuff to remember this season by. Keep an eye on KI, if you can. http://www.nba.com/video/channels/top_plays/2016/07/12/2016-cavs-top10-adb.nba/?cid=nba.2013
I know everyone is saying the regular season doesnt matter, but i get the feeling that if the warriors show signs of not having the best record in the league, the cavs might make a big push for best record in league, if not just better than the warriors. having home court could be huge in the finals… thoughts?
The Cavs have way too many chill mode players. They played the long game twice – partly out of necessity, partly out of laziness. And it worked. We’ll see more methinks
Have a hard time imagining the Warriors not having the best record. Even on auto pilot, the regular season is going to be a cake walk for them. Cavs would be smart to prepare that way, get healthy and rested for playoffs. Think that’s way more valuable than home court as last season showed.
Lot of fun to be back in the “booth” with Tom and Nate!
Also, this is worth checking out, as most Lee Jenkins articles are…

Amazing read. Would pay a lot of $ to watch a game thru LBJ’s eyes
Great cast guys – took me right back to those magical June days. Although I have to say – I get a daily reminder of it since there is always a tweet popping up in my feed in which someone refers to choking from a 3-1 lead. Happy days!
Nate – glad the Delly shirt made it to you. Look forward to the beach / beer / hammock photos.
Thanks again, Simmo. Your shirt is in the mail hopefully you get it soon! It’s a long trip to the Indian Ocean!
It sure is.
Even longer travelling from the 216 to Western Australia with a 2 year old….
