Podcast Episode 112: Guest Star, Bob Finnan

Long time Cavs beat reporter, Bob Finnan joined me in the podcast booth to discuss his new book, 100 Things Cavaliers Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die (click for the Amazon link). The book takes us through 100 moments of Cavalier history from the team’s inception to it’s 2016 championship and aftermath (review coming later this week). Bob and I chatted about the Cavs championship, our Indian summer, and the Northeast Ohio renaissance. We also spent a lot of time on his favorite people and moments covering the Cavs over 20 years. Bob shared some stories from the book and some that ended up on the cutting room floor, too. Whether it was running to the hall to watch Paul Silas pick fights with players, incurring Mike Fratello’s wrath, or driving hundreds of miles through a blizzards with Brian Windhorst, Bob’s tales from the Cavalier beat will make you appreciate the colorful past, present, and future of the team we all know and love. I felt like I could have talked to Mr. Finan all night, and there’s a million more things I wish I could have ask him. I’m sure you’ll feel the same way.

Terrific work Nate! Excellent pod with Finnan. Loved the stories!
What a fantastic podcast episode! Thanks for doing it. Really special, I sent the link to my dad who I think will really appreciate some of the stories that were before my time. Speaking of, way to flex your knowledge, Nate. I thought you hung with an old timer quite well.
